My "baby" in on the plane and its beginning to look a lot like Christmas

My "baby" (age 18) is on the plane and I and her big brother are aboit to set off to go collect her. Last year she spent Christmas in Denmark as not able to come home.
I cant wait to wrap my arms around her..

Christmas finally feels like it will happen in 2021

Hope everyone else get their loved ones home they are waiting for

My son is only 11 but I can't imagine Christmas without him no matter how old he gets! I'm 50 and I've never not been with my mum on Christmas day! Chris Rea knows a thing or two I reckon.

I’m really looking forward to spending Christmas Day at my parents, along with my sister, brother and their families.
We all spent Christmas apart last year so this one will be wonderful.

Unfortunately the loved I want to see the most, can't come home. Mum passed away a few weeks ago

So happy for you @Enko I am an expat and have spent many Christmases away from home. Its so hard for everyone particularly when it isn't through choice. I hope you have a wonderful time

@Kbish1 that first year without your loved one is so hard. Mil passed 3 years ago and on Christmas day we will all sit down to watch white Christmas and at some point one of us will say grandma loved this movie. So she is still with us every Christmas. Its that old saying

Though absent you are very near
Still loved still missed and very dear.

Its been 4yrs since I had a Christmas with mine and DS1 is coming to stay tomorrow with his GF and I'm so excited!

Aw lovely. I have my youngest home from London safe and sound. It's so nice when the adult children are back.

I hope we're in your position tomorrow. OHs 12yo son should be flying in from Spain. Everything went tits up last year and we're all incredibly anxious this time round.

@PumpkinEye nej and always been duck in my family.. I floated the idea of a goose 2 years ago and uproar. On the 25th we do it all with the traditional British Christmas turkey. On the 26th noone can move

@Enko we celebrate Christmas on the 24th but will also have turkey on the 25th. Agree with the noone can move on the 26th.

I've got my mum and stepdad arriving today from Sweden (via Denmark). I'm going to breathe a huge sigh of relief once they are safely here.
