Intrigued to see whether you got something nice/useful or a load of crap 🤣 might give some people some good ideas for next year too!

I was gifted a pair of mugs and a wooden tea box filled with a selection of various random teabags (not the packaged kind like a hotel tea tray, just random loose teabags that I have no idea what they are 😬) - Gifted by my colleague of 4 years who knows I don’t drink hot drinks 🤣👏🏼

Last year I got some smelly candles. I don’t like breathing in artificial scents , so they’ve gone into my emergency cupboard in case the electricity goes off.

insancerre · 20/12/2021 07:22

Wine and chocolate
They know me well
No idea who it was from

AngelSings · 20/12/2021 07:23

It is. But it will get used I suppose

When we do Secret Santa at work we have W list of three likes and three dislikes. Everyone taking part adds their name to the list and preferences for gifts. It means if you get someone you don’t know there is a crew options to pick from for what you get them. Makes for a very successful Secret Santa!

@Thetribeofhiltons That’s a really good idea actually!! I might try to get something like that going in my work too!

Our limit was 10. I put a lot of thought into the present I bought a colleague. I got a small bottle of prosecco and candle gift set.

MrsPear · 20/12/2021 19:28

I’m a housewife so no secret Santa for me but ds has started secondary and his form tutor suggested it. He was confused a little with the concept but he chose to take part. He had a girl who apparently is a skilled netball player so he got her a personalised netball trophy saying no 1. I added a big bar of Lindt. And wrapped it - fine motor problems. He received a man United breakfast set - it was the right team so worked well.

plixy · 20/12/2021 19:29

I got a lovely hat scarf & glove set, really warm cosy ones. I have a dog and do a lot of walks in the cold so it was appreciated.

tiddledpink · 20/12/2021 19:35

I got a Disney trivia set and Disney mug which will be extremely well used.

my secret santa got star wars themed beer and a cheesy joke book - both of which have gone down a hit.

MissMarplesGoddaughter · 20/12/2021 20:27

A regifted highly scented candle, which has already been donated to the charity shop.

Becsim · 20/12/2021 20:55

I got an amazing gift- a framed Christmas family picture, a bag w h my name on it (I’m a teacher), a candle, gonk tree decorations and hot chocolate spoons. Loved everything!

I bought my person some Dead Man’s Fingers rum and a glass with her initial in- she seemed happy.

RosaBaby2 · 20/12/2021 21:09

Mine was so good.

A macrame keyring
Miniature bottle of local gin
Posh pick n mix sweets
Bath salts
Choc santas

Best secret santa I ever had, hate it when people don't make an effort!

KittenKong · 20/12/2021 21:11

Donation to charity (it’s what I asked for).

Sunsetsupernova · 20/12/2021 21:11

A Baylis & Harding gift set Hmm I was quite gutted as we had a decent budget of £15 and I bought mine something really thoughtful and relevant to them

dottyaboutstripes · 20/12/2021 21:17

I've taken part in two this year, posted one and got the other to the person organising but not received anything in return yet Confused

UndeadSlut · 20/12/2021 21:25

M&S Gin liqueur, I don't drink so this will be going to someone who does. I've only been part of the team for a month or so, so I'm not offended they don't know me or anything, very grateful for it!
And something else which I haven't opened yet, saving it for the big day!

Peakypolly · 20/12/2021 21:34

I got a fabulous beach bag and sun hat. They are perfect for me, I suspect they may have been a 'gift with purchase' from an upmarket sun protection range, but seeing as we are meant to be limited to £10 I am well chuffed.
I gifted a voucher from a local garden centre who do a x2 deal in January (i.e. £10 = £20) and some vegetable seeds because my colleague is a keen allotment holder.

DoucheCanoe · 20/12/2021 21:39

I got a basket full of treats to pamper myself.

It's a lovely thought but I have seriously sensitive skin and don't really do the whole "beauty" thing.
