Just thought what on earth am I serving on Boxing Day!

In our house we always have mcds Christmas Eve. Christmas Day a big traditional roast.

What do you serve Boxing Day? It will be for 2 adults, twins 10 and dd15.

I was thinking possibly a buffet but not sure what to put on it...

All going well we're seeing family on the 27th & 28th so will do the buffet thjng then.

So we're going for curries on boxing day. I'm planning on making them next week and freezing them in advance. But I am tempted by the takeaway option.😂

Leftover turkey and ham, hot bacon and sausages, baby roast potatoes and some sort of greenery which no one will eat but makes me feel better.

Lots of lovely leftovers and lobster tails for dinner Xmas Smile

Bellafrenum · 19/12/2021 10:46

We have a traditional roast turkey on Christmas day too, and dh cooks a ham on Christmas eve which we have with egg and chips.

On boxing day, we are going to my mums for a roast lunch. In the evening, I will make a home made sausage roll wreath and have it as part of a buffet with cheeses, breads and crackers, cold cuts (ham and turkey), chicken nuggets, salad bits and pickles and chutneys etc. Plus booze and chocolate.

Otherwise, turkey curry?

Fivemoreminutes1 · 19/12/2021 10:56

Wellington with parsnip gratin

Polkadotties · 19/12/2021 10:58

I’m going to my parents on Christmas Day and Boxing Day is at ours so there won’t be leftovers.
We are cooking a ham on Christmas Eve which will be served cold and lots of bits and nibbles from m&s

MrNapkinHead · 19/12/2021 10:59

Big, late breakfast - leftover ham & pigs in blankets, crispy bacon, eggs, bubble and squeak, maybe a fruit salad.

Leftover Turkey/ham sandwiches later, then a cheeseboard and puddings.

No actual cooking.

Workinghardeveryday · 19/12/2021 12:46
