Wonder if this thread will get us to Christmas now we’re getting closer to being done.

Just wanted to say a huge HAPPY CHRISTMAS to everyone on here. Thank you for posting all your links and sharing codes etc; it’s made Christmas so much easier for so many people and I know I’ll be thinking of you all on Christmas Day.

@buckeejit yes, that light was suggested for me (can’t remember who by sorry!). We had our very small Christmas party yesterday and the light was perfect! Worked amazingly well for such a small cheap looking thing and the kids were very excited. 😊

We've just cancelled seeing our family over Christmas due to covid numbers. They love 200+ miles away. What could I send to them to say hi and that we still love them? It's my parents and also grand parents.
It can't be too pricy as I've obviously bought their presents already, just a little 'hi, love you' kind of thing.

Anyone have any experience of non lay z spa brand ones? They’re the only ones I’ve heard of.

The ones in Tesco were Lay z spa - maybe a miami? so it would have freeze shield. Without a freeze shield you'd either need to leave it on at at least 10-12 degrees over winter if not using or else you'd need to take the pump inside over winter. If you have a cheap electricity rate overnight (we have 4 hours at 5p a kwh) then you can run the spa overnight for those hours - you'd still need to heat it a little before using it but 4 hours overnight pretty much seems to hold the temperature at around 35 degrees with insultation (and ours is a bigger one so for a smaller spa it might hold it higher)
