Why do I need to clean under the beds for Christmas?

I am so bad for this, every year I end up wasting the whole of December trying to make my life perfect by doing stupid things like cleaning under the beds and emptying and wiping the cupboards out instead of just enjoying Christmas with my family.
Is anyone else doing this?
what is it? it feels almost like I'm nesting but I'm preparing for the baby Jesus instead of my own baby Confused!!!!

I spend the week (or 2 weeks before Christmas) doing this 😬, I plan in doing some tomorrow as I have a free day, plan on cleaning under the beds, cleaning the kitchen and bedrooms ready for Christmas. I think I try and get it tidy before Christmas so I can relax for a couple days but that never really happens, Christmas Day always creates an explosion of rubbish and untidiness which kind of undoes everything I have done the week before. We don’t even have family visiting so no ones going to see my tidy house anyway.

I do this every week, then again I have beds that are off the floor so its easier to push the vacuum underneath without moving the beds.

I deep clean cupboards once a month too, doesn't tske that long to be honest.

Then again I'm a minimise and don't have too much stuff so I can technically deep clean my house in less than a day if I wanted to.

I did a deep clean of DS's room last week, pulled out everything, cleaned behind it all & filled a bin bag with rubbish & another to donate! The room looks loads bigger now & plenty of space for new toys Xmas Smile

(Just need to do the rest of the house now Xmas Hmm )

I do this every year. My family always did when I was little.

So far I've entirely stripped and scrubbed the kids rooms and the bathrooms organised downstairs. Just some polishing floor washing and carpet cleaning left to do! My husband keeps asking if I'm pregnant as I get a little germ phobic when pregnant but it is absolutely not the case!
