Aldi

Muchtoomuchtodo · 12/12/2021 23:23

I’m hoping that they’ll have some in Home Bargains tomorrow otherwise they’ll be at least 3 times the price in our local deli!

WarmthAndDepth · 12/12/2021 23:28

They are quite straightforward to make from scratch if you draw a blank; just make a "pattern" on paper and place it on the rolled out dough, cut as if cutting fabric, bake and assemble. You can be a bit more creative with the design this way.

Oopsoopsoops · 12/12/2021 23:28

B&m £8. Aldi I think they were £4

WeeM · 12/12/2021 23:36

Yeah Aldi/Lidl usually have them. If you happen to be handy for IKEA they have a nice wee kit although it’s just the biscuits, have to make/buy some icing yourself.

MrsSkylerWhite · 12/12/2021 23:37

Lots in Aldi

MakkaPakkas · 12/12/2021 23:38

Tiger have them

Smileatthesmallthings · 12/12/2021 23:40

I got one in Morrisons last week for a fiver. We made it today and it was really easy and had everything needed (including a little stand to keep everything together while it stuck!)

Imdreamingofapeacefulxmas · 12/12/2021 23:46

Not near an aldi, have a lidl close by but I could slog to aldi if necessary!
. Really can't make from scratch we tried that and it was a joke, we struggle with ready made kits!

Also. Just saw them tonight.

Thatsplentyjack · 12/12/2021 23:47

Aldi

HollyandIvyandAllThingsYule · 13/12/2021 09:53

LIDL also have them, I think.

BarbaraofSeville · 13/12/2021 10:02

Ikea usually have them if you're near one of those, and you can usually check stock online.

How about a campervan Grin www.lakeland.co.uk/62206/Campervan-Gingerbread-Make-Your-Own-House-Kit

starlight36 · 13/12/2021 10:41

Waitrose have little ones, Lidl usually have lots. Co-op also do trees you can decorate that slot together. We had these last year as I forgot to get one and they were great as the kids could do them all by themselves. I usually find that I have to heavily supervise / do the house construction and decoration myself!

PatriotCanes · 13/12/2021 10:53

Debenhams online - use APPDEL as a free delivery code - you don't need to use the app, and you can get free next day delivery.

evilharpy · 13/12/2021 10:57

Lidl had them a few days ago.

WineGetsMeThroughIt · 13/12/2021 11:34

If you've got a Costco membership they're doing really good sized ones for under £10.

I bought one last week.

Fallagain · 13/12/2021 12:09

@WeeM

Yeah Aldi/Lidl usually have them. If you happen to be handy for IKEA they have a nice wee kit although it’s just the biscuits, have to make/buy some icing yourself.
They were selling icing too this year.
snowmanshoes · 13/12/2021 14:07

Morrisons had lots of them earlier by me and decorate gingerbread cookies etc with icing kits

Muchtoomuchtodo · 13/12/2021 14:37

I’ve failed miserable to find any anywhere around us and on Debenhams online
Might need to venture further afield to Lidl or Aldi

LaBellina · 13/12/2021 14:51

IKEA
Muji

Gwrach · 13/12/2021 14:55

Top tip for gingerbread houses, use royal icing to glue them together rather than the crap they give you. Royal icing is like cement. 🤣 It's just egg whites and icing sugar.

Notmoresugar · 13/12/2021 15:44

Aldi
They have some excellent Christmas things generally.
