Hi, first post, Please would anyone recommend where to get nice individual wrapping paper in sheet form. Not tissue paper as i have done that before.

I really don't want the big rolls as i only have a few gifts and i don't want everything to look the same. Also such as waste as lots left over,

thank you Xmas Wink

Paperchase

thank you! the town i am nearest doesn't have one but that's a good idea for another time.

I like maps for wrapping paper, I get them from the charity shop, they are cheaper and huge. It is especially nice if you get a map of a place they like/are from/have been.

rrhuth · 12/12/2021 19:35

Or I use brown paper, and put stamped designs onto them.

Basically I am quite tight and don't like to spend too much on wrapping Grin

HalfShrunkMoreToGo · 12/12/2021 19:35

The John Lewis in my town has them.

Card factory does sheets but I can’t say for certain if they have Christmas single sheets. Be surprised if they didn’t though.

AllThatFancyPaintsAsFair · 12/12/2021 19:38

I'm pretty sure my local garden centre sells individual sheets like they do for birthday paper

Innocenta · 12/12/2021 19:39

Etsy!

rrhuth · 12/12/2021 19:41

A lot of book shops do individual sheets, I think Waterstones do

Twopenny · 12/12/2021 19:52

Sliiiiightly off topic, but the multipacks of folded sheets are really thin on the ground this year.

I normally get a couple of packs that are 10 sheets of five designs from somewhere like Poundland, which means that £2 gets me enough paper to wrap all my pressies, and have them not all look the same. The leftover sheets are also really easy to store because they're folded flat.

Has anyone seen any multipacks about? Like the ones CactusFlowers linked to but....a bit less pink/more grown-up and ideally not from Amazon?

repottingthescabious · 12/12/2021 19:53

thank you so much for the replies! really useful. Years ago you used to be able to get sheets off the market but its rolls and multi rolls and rolls with tags bows and ribbon. i'm not wrapping up Santas sleigh.

Absolutely love the idea of maps!!

I will look on Etsy too. i love their tea cosies for tiny teapots at the moment.

I love card factory so as long as we are still allowed to shop tomorrow I will have a look in there!

Yes I do have some brown paper and I could experiment.

There's no John Lewis near me but there is a Waterstones.

Thank you for the tip about Garden centres as I did see the very first Chrsitmas cards there this year and they were gorgeous.

Ooh i forgot Poundland. Not one here but here is definitely a card facory near by so thank you for that.

Yes i like the jumbly differentness of the wrapping.

I'm a bit like that with our Christmas Tree: it's randomly flung on - not themed. Our angel isn't even an angel: she's a fairy with one arm broken off since the early 1970s i think.... bu she's our fairy Xmas Grin

Wilko does flat wrap

Twopenny · 12/12/2021 20:18

Thank you, @HelebethH but the multipacks in my wilkos have just two designs in each pack, and on the same theme/colourscheme so it looks super samey, unfortunately. Not the lovely jumble I like.

repottingthescabious · 12/12/2021 20:23

Ooh i love a Wilkos root through..cheers!

Whistlefish paper is lovely, really thick and designs are lovely

repottingthescabious · 12/12/2021 20:37

Whistlefish.......hmm..i'm listening....i'm Googling.

Yes thick paper is lovely. I'd far rather have some sheets good quality and much less landfill. It's a bit different too i think.

For brown paper use paper shopping bags inside out, put your own stamps on if you want. The paper is sturdy and good for wrapping.
