repottingthescabious · 12/12/2021 19:03

Hi, first post, Please would anyone recommend where to get nice individual wrapping paper in sheet form. Not tissue paper as i have done that before.

I really don't want the big rolls as i only have a few gifts and i don't want everything to look the same. Also such as waste as lots left over,

thank you Xmas Wink

Do the people you’re gifting to have particular interests? Lots of museums sell lovely single sheets and most have online shops.

My mum gets her sheets from the local market. I got some lovely sheets on amazon.

greenlynx · 12/12/2021 21:37

Tesco has sets of single sheets.

Welcometothejingles · 12/12/2021 21:37

Waterstones do single sheets

MardiBras · 12/12/2021 21:38

This is great, designed by a lovely person and fully recyclable. I received some the other day and it’s as lovely as it looks.

I’ve had some card factory and from poundstretcher this year. 5 x designs in each pack.

GiltEdges · 12/12/2021 22:07

I bought this book online this year and it's lovely:

There are 10 different designs.

Ellmau · 12/12/2021 22:23

Not cheap and possibly not your style, but Museum Selection has some lovely designs that come in flat sheets: www.museumselection.co.uk/christmas-cards-wrap/?page=2

these are wonderful and lovely to see new options. Yes probably a bit dear at the Museum for this year but definitely one to keep as i may buy from them un future and keep a stash.

I gave the rolls I had in the cupboard to someone else as a few of them were unused as were the bows.

Yes thinking of a theme for the receipient is a good idea.

I miss markets selling them in sheets. I haven't seen many single sheets.

ThankYouVeryMuchGerry (I love your username by the way) i will be scouting around another one this week.

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads Yes you see that's the thing I was trying for went into our local newsagents but I m sure it was hauled out the back from 1982. LOL. But some single sheets bought locally would be great.

Thank you all posters I have been given fab ideas.

Just remembered that I saw induvidual sheets of christmas paper
In Clinton Cards the other day. Just looked online and they have several designs

Summerofcontent · 12/12/2021 23:02

I used to be taken to East Ham market when I was small to do our present shopping and buy wrapping paper.

I do realise this is a very pointless comment as this was around 45 years ago.

Can't help with your present day dilemma, sorry

LubaLuca · 12/12/2021 23:10

The card stall in our market sells it. I think it's 10 or 12 sheets for £1 and they have loads of old-fashioned designs to choose from.

Card shops sometimes do them.

The rolls aren't really that big, equivalent to two or three flat sheets at most.

Plus if you don't use it, you just keep it until next year, it will go in the back of a drawer or wherever, or if you get a non Christmassy design like plain shiny red/silver or whatever, you can use it for gifts throughout the year.

Beeinalily · 13/12/2021 06:39

There are packs of single sheets in Card Factory.

Lulu1919 · 13/12/2021 06:50

I bought single sheets in a pack of ten ....from Tesco ...good quality and good price

HadEnoughOfBears · 13/12/2021 08:27

nicethingsbyhelena.com

This is a fabulous company, I've ordered cards & prints before and they're lovely.

repottingthescabious · 13/12/2021 13:51

@BarbaraofSeville but as i said upthread i gave the leftover rolls away.

I was sick of the same paper on every present. i like the mix of different sheets otherwise to me it just looks like a department store window. Someboddy elese made use of the rolls anyway plus therer were tags and ribbons in it.
