Ok so I haven’t read the books (I tried to once when I was bedridden abroad and it was the last book in English) so I don’t really know what’s ‘in’.

Any suggestions for a female 30 year old potter fan (and I’m talking Mega Fan) and her equally fanatical husband (both big fans).

About £25 each - maybe a joint thing?

My son bought me this for my 40th - he’s under the Christmas tree with the other elves! Shame he doesn’t clean the house though 😭

If they like chocolate, I saw the Hogwarts Main Building made out of chocolate yesterday! In M&S, I think they were £12. They also had various other things- a golden snitch, can't remember what else.
The Hedwig soft toy (was £11 when I bought it for my DD a couple of Christmases ago) is utterly gorgeous and soft.

Nowisthemonthofmaying · 02/12/2021 16:10

There's a new Harry Potter Le Crueset range - I bought my dh the kettle which is a bit out of your price range but I think there are cheaper things too!

greenmacaron · 02/12/2021 16:11

This board game is excellent. Do they play games at all?

Sone Harry Potter lego? These two classrooms are only a smidge over budget and fold into little boxes

Go on etsy and type in Harry Potter bath box ( I can't do links). I've got one as a present for my dd. They're very good value for money.

MsFannySqueers · 02/12/2021 16:16

I think Cath Kidston have Harry Potter themed items. Not sure what prices are though.

Just because they are mega fans are you definitely sure they would like hp themed presents? Only because I'm a huge fan - of the books - yet I hate when I get random cheap primarky hp themed tat. I don't really get the logic - if someone's favourite book was anna karenina would you buy them a cuddly train or a Russian style shawl! I like reading the books but they aren't my personality. I don't really want all my house decorations, clothing etc to be based on ONE book series I like!

Am well aware others think differently though -just putting it out there as personally I would be horrified to get a cuddly owl/dobby or whatever a pp suggested. Maybe get something that is nice quality that anyone would enjoy even if they werent into hp - e.g the chocolate castle, or something that is at the very least useful like a nice mug or goblet, candle

Although saying all that if it is me being grouchy and they are mega fans who do like all the extra stuff, which is of course fine, then the house of minalima do amazing art (they did loads of the props for the films so it's really high quality).

KittenKong · 02/12/2021 16:36

Oh no, they do love all the potter stuff (they even have their own cloaks which they wear to watch the films)!

Sweets would be safest. If they're fans they may have other items already. John Lewis has got sweets in themed tins e.g the Night Bus ( about £20) or a set of small tins of sweets with the Hogwarts house crests.

I love these two sites for HP stuff!

Might I suggest a voucher for counselling or therapy? Hmm

KittenKong · 02/12/2021 17:21

That’s mean. They are a young(ish) couple with no kids who love all that stuff.

So much HP stuff at the moment. Check boots, they currently have a whole HP range most of which is 3 for the price of 2. They have both men’s and women’s. I got my dd this, some of the bits are a little old for her but I’m swapping those out for other hp bits I’ve picked up from primark.

Do you know their houses? Primark had some gorgeous cushions in recently.

Aroundtheworldin80moves · 02/12/2021 17:34

Dunelm has lovely House cushions if you know their House.

MinaLima might be worth a browse. A lot is £££ but they do some tea towels, posters, notebooks etc.

That make you feel good about yourself?

They are actually the sweetest couple you’d ever meet.

Hand knitted look Christmas jumpers with a big initial of H and R (like Harry and Ron have) or their own initials? Smile
