Struggling to match the number of stocking fillers for my 12-year old DS with his older brother.

They will count them!

Any ideas?

Ours is second hand but it’s basically this Lightning Reaction Reloaded - Shocking Game amazon.co.uk/dp/B003Y3LSIS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_ZB0QBV89Q9840ASJN4RV?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1]]

Seems quite expensive new!

SusannahHolmes · 30/11/2021 22:36

I got my teenaged boys a pet bean/Brussels sprout each this year

www.etsy.com/uk/listing/233011737/pet-baked-bean-vegan-gift-novelty-gift

They also get things like silly socks (Bob Ross ones were popular last year), small tub of pringles, reading light, deodorant, last year they got a mini among us plush each, and funnily enough they loved the Bob the Builder blind bags they got a couple of years ago as a "joke gift". Nostalgia is big in 12 year olds!

Aroundtheworldin80moves · 30/11/2021 22:40

Rubix cube
Reusable cup
Credit card tool

BlueFlavour · 30/11/2021 22:40

I love you all! Thank you.
I have one of these 12 year old boy creatures.
I also have a 22 year old one but don't remember him being so...I don't know...12?!
Maybe because I was knee deep In The Night Garden with the aforementioned now 12 yo.

FredaFedUpBigTime · 01/12/2021 08:30

So far I have bought him:

Wallet Ninja
Loads of sweets/ Chocolate
Funny book
Chocolate orange
Chocolate orange knitted cover (thanks MN)

Unfortunately, he is not into sport, has loads of socks, still has 5 cans of deo from last Christmas, hasn't used his gift voucher from last year, doesn't wear PJ's, has a nightgown, and slippers already, is not into clothes or board games.

Sorry he doesn't sound very exciting, does he? He is though Hmm

He has an Xbox, likes sweets, plays one sport but has everything for it, and loves music.

You have given me some ideas though so thanks.

Mine is getting

Phone charger
Power bank
New phone case
Sports socks
A tub of assorted American candy I found yesterday in a small Asda
A Santa popit key ring

Using this thread for other ideas!

Last year he got a bag of marbles called “reindeer poo” which he loved.

Howmanysleepsnow · 01/12/2021 12:13

Everlasting gobstopper
Skins for Xbox controller
Popit key ring
Multi tool key ring (massive hit with mine at that age for no real reason)
Fisher space pen (bit more pricey but cool)
Novelty usb stick
Very long phone charging cable
Lock picking kit and a couple of padlocks

Please can you tell us what you got your older DS? I have a 16 year old I’m struggling with!

Howmanysleepsnow · 01/12/2021 12:14

What music does he like? If he plays guitar, guitar picks?

TwigTheWonderKid · 01/12/2021 13:54

BlueFlavour · 01/12/2021 16:07

That was a mission
I think it was QD @TwigTheWonderKid
I’ll double check

BlueFlavour · 01/12/2021 16:09

I really like that pet baked bean @SusannahHolmes Smile
So sweet.

BluebirdHill · 01/12/2021 16:27

Someone here recommended Present Indicative for stocking fillers. There’s loads of original and quirky stuff on there. I bought 12yo DS some periodic table socks and a pack of Deadly Disease Trumps.
Checking this out, thanks!

Headphones. They get lost so easily. Likewise gloves. Joke books are good too.

Snoopsnoggysnog · 01/12/2021 16:57

Present Indicative is brilliant but there’s not much my DS would appreciate on there - I have bought loads from there though after someone on here recommended it!
