Has anyone seen this coat? And Asda you are really not helping!!

I fear I am searching for the impossible but..

Dd1 has asked for a George coat (that she's seen on Insta or Tiktok which means of course so have millions of others 😩) . It is out of stock online but apparently comes back in fleetingly and ditto in store.

Oh I'll just ring the stores to see if they have stock says I - ha no I won't because after to listening to all the bastarding opening hours/other info it then says 'due to unprecedented or whatever demand we cannot put your though to our store!Aargh!!!

So we have currently been to 6 Asda stores and only found large which she has tried on with me holding it in at the back to see 'if it might look good' much to the amusement of other shoppers. Incidentally where have all the bloody mirrors gone??

Has anyone seen it? I need a S or XS ideally. We are in the NW but am willing to travel (within reason!)

I'm off to Adsa this afternoon. If they have an XS would you like me to grab it and we'll sort post etc via PM? They had a rack of these last time I went but I didn't look at sizes.

Do you have fb? I've messaged George at asda on there before and they told me when stock would be available online so they might be able to locate one in store for you? They were quick to respond and very helpful

God, the fights I've had trying to get my DC to wear coats at all, I'd go to the ends of the Earth if they wanted a practical, warm, sensible, and above all affordable coat.

H&M has a long black puffa for £39 that looks similar but doesn't have the zippy convertible-ness.

I'm not sure where you are, but I was I. Asda in cribbs causeway last week and they had quite a few of these.

Of course I want to get her a coat she'd like, who wouldn't? It's a Christmas present - isn't that the idea? But she's by no means demanding it. She's been trekking round with me and looking herself.

I asked on here because there's a better chance of someone spotting it than me haring around the NW map of Asda stores. I'd be very grateful if anyone can look of course.

I didn't think about messaging on fb so thank you I'll try that too.

Otherwise I'll wrap her an orange up and tell her to be grateful.

Try checking the website really early each morning. That’s when George tend to replenish out of stock items, from my experience.

You could set up an eBay alert too (if you’re sure what size she wants). There’s a few on there at the moment, but nothing smaller than a medium unfortunately.
