Secret Santa - got the boss

Suggestions, please!

Secret Santa has been drawn at work today, and I've got the boss.

Elegant and sophisticated lady in her 50s, don't know much about her, definitely not a novelty/joke gift, budget £10.

I'm already stressed about it! 🤦‍♀️

I had this one year.... We were really busy so made her a staff cloning kit.

30not13 · 23/11/2021 21:36

If she drinks alcohol my co-op side has some really nice looking freixenet gift sets with glasses in for £10

BlossomValley · 23/11/2021 21:37

Molton Brown bauble

mnahmnah · 23/11/2021 21:37

Baileys is £9.99 for a litre in Morrison’s Grin

PomRuns · 23/11/2021 21:39

L'occitane hand cream?

1WildFlower · 23/11/2021 21:39

Christmas cheese knife set, I purchased a lovely set at a garden centre last weekend for £10.

Weaselstoatferret · 23/11/2021 21:40

Does she drink coffee? Oliver Bonas have a cool collapsible cup. Or a really nice soap, Neom perhaps?

sunshinelover69 · 23/11/2021 21:44

Nice hand cream - L'Occitane, Molten Brown or White Company.

Thehogfatherstolemycurry · 23/11/2021 21:46

A nice scarf, garden centre has some lovely ones for around £10.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 23/11/2021 21:49

Beautiful notebook

Small box of posh chocs

A gorgeous Christmas tree decoration from somewhere like Liberty or the White Company

ITSSSSCHRISTMASSS · 23/11/2021 22:01

I once got the MD when I was in my early 20s, I bought him a paid of red satin undies with bells attached. He absolutely loved them, he hung them in his office, he had no idea it came from me, I was quite shy at work haha

How about a nice pair totes slipper socks. Nice particle and if she dosnt like them a good regifting gift.

Gliderx · 23/11/2021 22:06

Reusable drinking straws in a nice box
Haan hand sanitiser
Hot chocolate melts
Bamboo thermal socks

All charmingly impersonal, if that's what you want to go for.

Pepperama · 23/11/2021 22:10

If a staff member gave me any of these I'd be very happy. The staff cloning kit is a fab idea! Although. Not the red satin undies with bells, maybe =)

Don't get a scarf!! It screams "I couldn't think of anything and all middle women love a scarf so I just got that! 🤷‍♀️"

RAOK · 23/11/2021 22:16

Ask her PA on the down low?

Completely agree with this. Plus scarves are a very personal thing to buy.
CherryRedDMs · 23/11/2021 22:19

A novel. Makes you look smart even if she never reads it.

AnGofsMum · 23/11/2021 22:22

A book, a really nice hand cream, a bottle of something - port?

Ilovelblue · 23/11/2021 22:27

Another vote here for Molton Brown, L'Occitane and White Company. I like Rituals too.

RAFHercules · 23/11/2021 22:45

Accessorize have some lovely blanket scarves in their black Friday sale. The Carter checked one is nice. £10.

Nowisthemonthofmaying · 23/11/2021 22:57

Not a scarf - unless it's silk which would be out of budget. Normally I'd go for booze but £10 won't buy you anything drinkable.

A nice leather bound notebook might be an option. Or some cashmere socks. Or a fancy tin of biscuits or a plant in a pretty ceramic pot.

StCharlotte · 23/11/2021 23:06

I got someone a personalised chocolate orange last year. Then it was cancelled. Managed to smuggle it into her office just before it went out of date in May. Was so tempted just to eat it.

mehface · 23/11/2021 23:08

Yes I think a notebook or a nice pen .. what about carolinegardner.com/collections/pen-gift-sets-uk/products/pink-burgundy-boxed-pen-pen112 there are patterned ones at £10 too.

fedup65356 · 23/11/2021 23:09

Posh chocolate - Hotel Chocolate selector boxes are great for Secret Santa.

Or a decent bottle of wine.

Namebunny · 23/11/2021 23:09

Really nice tea
