Baking book
Colour changing light bulb
Dr Who annual
Calendar
A few bits of Make up
Sundae glass set with toppings
Pjs with eye mask
Loungers

17caterpillars1mouse · 12/11/2021 19:52

Do you need anything else with a bike, scooter and iPad? That's 3 huge gifts!

toadstool32 · 12/11/2021 19:53

@17caterpillars1mouse oh not for Xmas! I mean they've already got them, from previous birthdays, Xmas etc. I've bought nothing so far for this Xmas!

Would you not wrap the phone, ipad, scooter & airpods?
Bag for secondary school for the eldest, pj's for both, calendar, book, bath bomb and other such little bits

Whatwouldnanado · 12/11/2021 19:57

Theatre tickets, annual pass to somewhere they would enjoy.

Snuzzle · 12/11/2021 20:33

My 7 year old is getting a switch, our generation dolls and playset, craft sets and Lego friends

Tiredalwaystired · 12/11/2021 21:01

Lego

Quornflakegirl · 12/11/2021 21:57

My 9 year olds are getting new roller skates with a bag, a popcorn maker, Lego dots set, Polly Pocket, tickets to Harry Potter studios.

Stompythedinosaur · 12/11/2021 22:13

I've got 10 and 8yos - the big items they are getting are a Switch, an oodie and harry potter lego.

Welcometothejingles · 13/11/2021 02:26

What are their interests so people can make useful suggestions. It'll be difficult as your dd's have already got big ticket items at a young age.

SnowSurprise · 13/11/2021 07:35

Mine are 9 and 11 and I also have no idea! One of youngest's favourite gifts from 2 years ago was a set of character bedding. She hasn't had any other on her bed since, I wash it in the morning so it can go back on in the evening.

I bought them both some new clothes recently as theirs were looking rather scruffy and worn and have resorted to holding back a jumper, T-shirt and pack of socks to wrap up for them!

I will get them a couple of books too and a wall calendar each. They haven't requested anything yet.

HPandTheNeverEndingBedtime · 13/11/2021 07:42

I bought Dd some logic games which were a big hit, can be played alone or with others.

Cat crimes (also dog crimes) and gravity Maze were big hits. The manufacturer Think Fun does lots of similar games.

TheGirlWhoLived · 13/11/2021 07:42

I’ve ended up with this too @toadstool32

My 11 year old dd is getting lots of clothes/onesie/new boots, a Harry Potter hogwarts set, forbidden island board game, switch game, studio maker, better art and craft stuff and make up under the tree, Then minecoins, stationery, fidget things, books etc in FC sack. She’s getting a hoverboard to share with dd (7) but opening this on Xmas day!

She had a phone for her 11th birthday and other things that went down really well are the instax instant camera (and lots of film, a mini album etc) or she also had a sprocket which is great! I’m going for a couple of smaller items than eg a bike or iPad sized gift.

Dd (7) is getting similar stocking gifts, more soft toys and toys though. Eg under the tree she’s getting a little live pig, blokus, moving hedwig, sloth toy, clothes, onesie, switch game, twinkle pikmi, craft and art stuff.

The 10 month old has a toot toot parking set Grin

I used to really enjoy those threads of yore where everyone put all the things they had bought their children of various ages- great for ideas but usually descends into chaos!

gogohm · 13/11/2021 07:47

They are huge gifts! Honestly, mine would have got one of those as a present in any one year. I also did pjs, headphones (wired) fluffy socks , new toothbrush, hair bobbles etc

Nintendo switches with animal crossing?

Nintendo has lots of nice games that pre teen girls would like.

If they like Pokemon- the new game will be out in a week two

RussianSpy101 · 13/11/2021 07:50

Ninetendo switch with just dance.
Lego
Roller blades / heelies
Instax camera
Fitbit
Concert tickets
Bag & purse
Jewellery
Bath bombs
Perfume
Toys - what is the 7yo into?
Stocking fillers for 11yo-
Coloured phone cases
Coloured charger wires
Bluetooth speakers

A bed is a very bizarre gift for a child for Christmas.

HairyScaryMonster · 13/11/2021 07:52

My 7yo is getting:
Toy dog house
Sea monkeys (fish for birthday if it goes ok)
Stationery
Art pad and pencils etc
'drone' - plastic thing that flies randomly and hopefully won't break immediately but I'm not holding my breath
Lego

jaundicedoutlook · 13/11/2021 08:02

Girlwholived…

A live pig…?!

TheGirlWhoLived · 13/11/2021 08:34

Of course, for the child who has everything @jaundicedoutlook !

TheGirlWhoLived · 13/11/2021 08:35

A little live pets pig Grin here he is

I can’t even look after a goldfish, I think a pig would be stretching my talents

GingerAndTheBiscuits · 13/11/2021 09:01

11yo is getting a phone. The rest of her list is cuddly toys, mainly squishmallows so some of those. Some of the other things on her list are minecraft strategy books.

7yo will get vetch studio camera thing with green screen. And she’s really into Darcy Lynn and Petunia on YouTube so thinking a ventriloquist doll/teddy too.

But am really stumped this year, going to get them to write their Santa letters soon for more ideas!

jaundicedoutlook · 13/11/2021 09:06

For a moment I was thinking those so called micropigs that end up growing to the size of a small horse…!

toadstool32 · 13/11/2021 09:16

Hmm I'm a bit nonchalant about a switch. We have an Xbox which they never play with.

Regarding my op, the things I've listed they have been given for previous birthdays, Christmases they are not for this year! I haven't bought anything yet!

11yo is going on 16 so the likes of squishmallows and Lego wouldn't go down well.

I can tell I'm going to struggle this year

I have a 13yo. She will likely get either clothes, boots or trainers, duvet cover and a stocking. She got a phone for her birthday. I might also try and upcycle a bedside table for her if I can be bothered.

Ormally · 13/11/2021 09:37

My DD loves Converse shoes and has spent her own money on them before. There is a function to design your own if so inclined.

Like the duvet set idea for new bed.
