Dd has a dolls house, kitchen, pushchair (although could get a new one!?) a barbie dream camper van..

She’s obsessed with babies and Barbies. She has load of them though. She’s very motherly lol

I have no idea this year. She wanted the barbie dream house but it’s way too expensive and big 😩😞

Does she like crafts? Mine wants the Barbie dream house but we definitely can't afford it (nor have the space for it). We're considering getting this, as she's very crafty so would love to build it. It fits full size Barbies.

ChocolateRiver · 04/11/2021 21:07

Mine loves playmobil, especially the Spirit stuff.

IamChipmunk · 04/11/2021 21:08

Mine is barbie obsessed too! She has the camper already and is asking for the ambulance- barbie care clinic-
And wanted the plane but its far too big and didnt look that playable so I have gone for the helecopter instead.
She also wanted 'wedding barbie' but rather than get yet more dolls i have bought faux barbie and ken wedding outfits from amazon.
She is also getting gymnastics barbie, the set with the beam because she does gymnastics.
Her Auntie is getting her barbies bike!

Fallagain · 04/11/2021 21:11

A doll which crawls and talks is her only request.

17caterpillars1mouse · 04/11/2021 21:12

My daughter is 5.5 and keeps changing her mind but the basics are

Lego friends
Sylvanian families
My little pony
Barbie aeroplane and gymnastic Barbie
Usbourne stickeebooks
Soft toys - all the soft toys!

flummingbird · 04/11/2021 21:18

Mine has asked for the barbie light up unicorn, a squishmallow soft toy (the prices!😱), a card making set and some slime... she could craft/slime for days, I bet the unicorn is played with no more than 5 times...

Scanner20 · 04/11/2021 21:24

Walkie talkies, smart watch, craft kits (aqua gelz, glitter dots) rainbocorn and a styling head,

Bewildered2021 · 04/11/2021 21:25

Lol dolls and beanie boos

Miracle29 · 04/11/2021 21:36

My dd loves babies and babies too. I've got her the new my garden baby feed and change doll, the lego books they do beauty and the beast, little mermaid and frozen. She also has the leap frog scoop and learn ice cream cart and she loves that. The vtech secret diary is a good one too. He room is so small so limited to what she can have there really.

WithRosesAroundTheDoor · 04/11/2021 21:43

Mine keeps telling me that it's a secret, but it's ok because Santa is magic and knows. Hmm she is very confident that he is going to get it right.
I have no idea what to get her so am following this thread for ideas.

Pinkbonbon · 04/11/2021 21:49

Sticker maker?
Colouring books and stickers.

For me at that age it was puppy in my pockets (little, plastic animal toys).

I could never bring myself to buy a kid baby dolls. The whole idea of it just creeps me out. Like, they're children...they shouldn't be thinking about being mums. Though tbf maybe it helps them learn how to be gentle with younger siblings.

SkankingMopoke · 04/11/2021 21:51

My 5.5yo has asked for a Rainbocorn and specific Barbie doll, although they are both an improvement on the pet ladybird she requested last year...
Other than a small version of the aforementioned overpriced cuddly toy plus the doll, she will be getting some very small add ons to her Lego, Sylvanians, and Playmobil sets, a Barbie car and scooter (FB Marketplace bargains!), a Nintendo DS game, and books. She will also have Gravitrax as a joint present with her sister.

She plays a lot with the Polly Pockets, My Little Pony figures, and Schleich animals too, so in theory we could get more of these, but we have enough TBH. She would LOVE a giant squishmallow, but can barely fit into her bed for all the cuddlies as it is (with no chance of her agreeing to prune the collection), so that's also a no. She is starting to become obsessed with Pokemon (has the Nintendo DS game), but I haven't seen anything related she'd go crazy for, sadly.

Barbie farm
Polly pocket set
Harry Potter lego
Science set
Hama beads
A board game

stridesy · 04/11/2021 21:59

My 5 year old has asked for barbie barbie barbie and circled everything in the toy catalogue! Oh and makeup.
So far (she has a December birthday as well) she has…
Crayola doll
Rainbow haired barbie
Bookset learning to read nursery tales
Lego friends
Gymnastics barbie
Clock/watch
Some second hand ds games.

Home bargains do this colour your own Wendy house so thinking of getting that for £10.

Paintedseashell · 04/11/2021 22:01

Mine has a second hand barbie dream house. It’s not the latest version but I’m hoping she won’t mind too much! It’s massive. It’s now in pieces in the garage.
She also has the barbie fracture clinic and two of the barbie extra dolls.
She has some LOL dolls, couple of craft sets, a slime making set, some books and soft toys and two new games.
Oh and a hamster marble run. Like a normal marble run but with little hamsters instead.

AliceMcK · 04/11/2021 22:10

Could you sell some of her other things to cover the cost of the Barbie house. I have 3 girls and sometimes do this so I feel more justified buying new things for my youngest. She dosnt actually need anything as she has so many toys handed down. She’s 4 and just told me to sell her perfectly good, excellent condition double pram because she wants a new one I said no to in the shop. Her response when I said you already have a pram was, it’s ok sell my other one for pennies to buy this 🤦‍♀️

My daughters will have just turned 5&6 by Christmas, presently one wants a dog costume and the other a space hopper.

Books, lego, Sylvanian families, board games are also good staples for this age, which they'll both be getting among other things too.

Got them a polly pocket and barbie type doll last year after they begged for it, played with them for a day and not since. But maybe polly pocket and clothes for barbie if they are into them!

Marmite27 · 05/11/2021 07:27

Miraculous figure
Early Readers book set
Lego friends
Colouring book and pens
Craft supplies
LOL dolls colour change box thing
A jellycat bunny

PosyBoo · 05/11/2021 07:43

I could never bring myself to buy the Barbie dream house, so much money on something plastic and that doesn’t look very robust to me. We brought our DD a Kidkraft wooden Barbie castle for Christmas a few years ago and she absolutely loves it. She has played with it constantly and never been disappointed that it wasn’t the actual Barbie dream house. They’re absolutely huge, come in some beautiful styles, with wooden furniture included and cost far less. We got ours for £99 on a Black Friday deal from Very.

PosyBoo · 05/11/2021 07:46

Also the castle we got is tall and slim rather than wide like the dream house, which meant we could actually fit it in our house!

DockOTheBay · 05/11/2021 07:51

@flummingbird have a look in Aldi for squishmallows - big ones for £8

My daughter has asked for
Fairy unicorn playmobil
Adventure playground playmobil
Hotwheels track
Chapter books
Cards for her yoto player - highly recommend a yoto player which she received last year
Easel - got one in ikea, also in aldi at reasonable price
Teepee or beanbag for her bedroom
Dressing up costumes

DockOTheBay · 05/11/2021 07:52

Could you look for a dream house second hand, might be cheaper at least
