I never know how to spell this word

But still want joy for the kids

Omg I had a playinchoc last year (bought but didn’t end up using for stocking so ended up eating) - it was absolutely revolting, I couldn’t eat the second piece and I think that is the first time I’ve ever declined chocolate! And I’ve eaten a lot of shit chocolate in my time! It was honestly unimaginably foul.

@Morgantowers

You also need to consider plastic holders. A lip balm in a plastic tube, a fun pen that is plastic, a book with a plastic cover, hair baubles that are plastic, shower gels in plastic bottles, perfumes in plastic bottles, plastic pencil cases, kids beakers are plastic that ultimately after a year go to landfill.

It’s the same when trying to avoid palm oil you have to read labels and then work out if vegetable oil contains palm oil or a derivative of.

Oh I agree and refuse to buy gift sets of anything for the extra layer of packaging. However for the rest of year they use refill shower gel/bubble bath etc so my 5 year old in particular is very excited to get a bottle of frozen bubble bath in her stocking (and the bottle then gets used as one of the refill receptacles). It’s not ideal but it is a compromise.

I agree. The DC got given one for completing a Christmas trail at the zoo last year and both spat it out on the first bite. I tried it and it was the most revolting, tasteless, waxy chocolate I've ever had Sad
