Hello all!
I'm wanting ideas please for my will be 4 year old son for Xmas/birthday gifts. He has autism and loves rainbows and colourful things, for example the battery candles that change colour.
He's already got one of those colour changing spinning wands that he likes but it eats through batteries!
Any ideas welcome! Grin

A disco light
Orbeez? You can get rainbow ones and could be good sensory for him.
A hover football
Light up maracas
Bath toy (I'll post on another as it won't allow me to attach 3)

Possibly pricier than you want, but I've been coveting this galaxy lamp

CampfireZen · 14/10/2021 17:08

Depends on your budget, as £16, but this colour-changing jellyfish (fake, obv!) mini-aquarium might fit the criteria?
[Comes with 4 egg-shaped colour-changing mood lights too]

I picked up a colour changing moon and star light in Primark the other day as a stocking filler.. only £3.50 each!

LilyMyOneAndOnly · 14/10/2021 20:16

May not be a gift as such but how about one of the rainbow coats from jojo, they also have matching wellies & socks www.jojomamanbebe.co.uk/cosy-waterproof-fishermans-jacket-d8444.html

I bought this for my rainbow obsessed boys.

rrhuth · 14/10/2021 20:47

Is he too young for marbles? You could get one in each colour of the rainbow and then he can make them all roll in rainbow order.

Does he have the big wooden rainbow beloved by nurseries? Mine played with one of those all the way through primary. Now one of them just has it for decoration.

PinkDaydreams · 15/10/2021 10:23

Love the marbles idea thank you! I'll try source some of the larger ones.

My dc enjoy both their plasma ball and a night sky projector (which has colourful swirls like the northern lights).

Would he enjoy anything like coloured hair chalks or hair waxes?

rrhuth · 15/10/2021 20:36

You can search by colour here shop.houseofmarbles.com/category/marbles/show-me-the-marbles/all-marbles/ and yes I did check they have categories red, yellow, orange, green, blue, purple...

I am now going to buy a load of marbles I don't need because my kids are far far too old for them Grin

CampfireZen · 15/10/2021 22:07

@rrhuth,

Oh, those are GORGEOUS! Thanks for the site tip-off.

I'll join you for a reliving-our-youth game...

rrhuth · 15/10/2021 22:29

@CampfireZen I was taken by the Rainbow Glass Earth marble, which was a tiny globe. I have had to shut the site, I really have no need for marbles!!
