Hi
We love playing games in our family. There are 3 of us, me, DH and DD14. We usually get a new game for Christmas but it's proving tricky to find something we don't have for this year.....
We like cooperative games like Forbidden Island, card games like uno band exploding kittens and things like Trivial Pursuits and 221b Baker Street.
Just be for 3 or less players...
Any ideas please????

“Cat Chaos” is good fun, I think they do a dog version too.

Battle for Hogwarts is a brilliant cooperative game for three. Expensive but really great value as it has so much playability. It builds in difficulty as you learn the game. Great gateway game for more complex games too.

Is secret Hitler suitable for 3? I can't remember, but excellent game if it is!

All the Carcassonne variations too.

We love Labyrinth and it’s good for all ages. Trionimos makes your brain hurt. We’ve been gifted Richard Osman’s House of Games Board Game and are saving that for Xmas. You can get different sets of questions for Trivial Pursuit so that people of different ages/ interests can all play together.

Mexican train - a reasonably simple ti learn domino game - can be short or long version. We got it last year.

I was keen on Risk in my teens (still am, we found the set again the other day hurrah!). I saw it as a strategy game rather than anything overtly violent or military. Used to play it 2-player quite often which works really well as a head-to-head battle for supremacy (quite Cold War... and it was the Cold War at the time), but we also played it with 3-6 at family occasions and had fun but it's a different experience with 2, 3-4 and 5-6 which makes it versatile.
Hive
Chess
Scrabble
Monopoly
Super Cluedo (if you can find on ebay etc.)
Game of the Year (ditto)
Again in my teens, my mother and I got very into Canasta (card game for 2)
