Still on the hunt for a Christmas/Winter candle or wax melt

Spent a fortune on the White Company Winter candles and reed diffusers last year. I still feel cheated. They smelt of nothing.

Any suggestions on what to try next? Yankee Candles are the same as the White Company. I don’t want the house overly fragranced but the whiff of something Christmassy would be lovely!

I love the WC Fir Tree candles❤️

Totally agree about the White Company winter candle, totally shite!

I am afraid you are going to spunk the best part of 50 quid and go for Pomander (I think it's called) by Diptyque - its gorgeous, and very smelly!

I love the Woodwick fireside candle. In fact I've never been disappointed with any Woodwick candle and we've had quite a few over the years.

Neom Christmas Wish, I've also really enjoyed some smaller independent makers recently, Our Lovely Goods Winter spice is excellent, and I rate SevenSeventeen as a brand, their winter offering is called Sparkle Winter Spice. I can't comment on it myself but their other products are quality so it is probably worth trying.

@MarshmallowsOnToast
I'm going to enjoy going through their website and order lots of Christmas scented goodies!

Yankee Candle Christmas Eve.

I have two large ones still left. It's beautiful.

Eek I just bought a Diptych candle, Feu de Bois. Only ever bought mini ones from eBay. Feels very extravagant and almost literally like burning money.

We have a lovely local candle/wax melt maker, I got Coco Cuddles this week and it came with a free sample of the Candy Cane. I didn't fancy the sound of Candy Cane but the sample was fabulous. Nutcracker is also beautiful.

I always get mine from Misters Candles on Etsy. They last ages and smell great. I met the two men that make them at a craft fair years ago and have stuck with them ever since.

Yes st Evals Embers is beautiful, subtle but gorgeous. Wish they did it in a big candle.

The Gingerbread one is absolutely divine and makes the whole house smell festive Smile

@Snowdropsandbluebells

Try marks and Spencers. Absolutely lovely. Can't remember the name but their candles burn well.
M&S frankincense and myrrh is the one I usually get.

I always buy their (IIRC) Mandarin, Clove and Cinnamon. Lovely Christmassy smell, without being overpowering or smelling at all fake and chemical-y.

There's a beautiful Christmas candle by In Bloom & Co. I follow her on Instagram since my friend bought me their bath oil & salts for my bday.
I recently bought the trio of candles from there as Xmas pressies, but I'm not sure I can part with them LOL. Smell soooooo good.
Always like helping a small business too

Bigger companies : I don't rate white company but do love neom.

BirdyBee · 09/11/2021 21:47

Sassy wax melts are really lovely and last for ages

Cocopogo · 09/11/2021 22:41

annalisecandles.com are amazing and they do an advent calendar that’s only £20. Highly recommend

goose1964 · 09/11/2021 22:48

I bought one in a tin from Waitrose, it's a John Lewis cinnamon spice on and it's quite powerful. I haven't even burnt it yet but the room smells of it

Babysharkdoodoodood · 09/11/2021 23:14

DH got me a fragrance lamp with some lush oils from here www.ashleigh-burwood.co.uk for Christmas one year. Fills the house and all the fragrances are gorgeous

BatshitCrazyWoman · 10/11/2021 13:13

This is my favourite Christmas candle - www.shearer-candles.com/en/frankincense-and-myrrh-tall-pillar-jar-candle
