Spectacular Christmas bauble for wedding present

A friend of mine collects Christmas baubles in every country she visits.

She is getting married soon. I would love to buy a really special Christmas bauble for the wedding present. I am prepared to throw money at it. I know Etsy/Not on the High Street do 'personalised' ones but all the ones I can find are very basic.

Where I can source a really beautiful individual bauble? Doesn't have to be personalised.

I have a really beautiful handmade one that a family member gave us, but she is far too busy at the moment to ask her to make another for a friend, but it certainly sets a high bar.

I can't think of a specific bauble that'd fit the bill, but might be worth looking as Gisela Graham?

PolkadotsAndMoonbeams · 03/09/2021 20:49

What about this make?

StandardLampski · 03/09/2021 20:49

Have you looked up murano glass baubles?

I love glass baubles and also collect where I go...
I'm excited to be now looking them up Grin

Could you do a set of these in her wedding colours?

What you need here is a stately home Christmas range. Or Swarovski. Lovely idea OP!

I’ve just made one for my friend. She and her family have a little thing they say to each other, so I bought a glass bauble and I used vinyl as a stencil, then armour etch cream which eats away at the glass so when you wash it off it looks engraved. Do you know anyone with a Cricut machine? Or anyone on Etsy selling vinyl decals will be able to do it for you if you explain what you’re after. Armour etch cream is only £8 a bottle.

They haven't released the 2021 yet, but this is the 2020 one.

What a really lovely idea, if all else fails get some little cake toppers of a bride and groom and get them put in a bauble with their names and wedding date on.

Oooh this is a great present idea- what about a vintage one… like a fancy designer vintage one., I thought Tiffany’s or something- do they even do them? Or what about one with a link to where she is getting married or where they met.. xo

I like @Addicted2Sugar's idea.
I collect Wedgwood tree decorations. They do baubles with the year on them. 2021's haven't been released yet I don't think.

The Swarovski ones posted by a previous poster are simply made with Swarovski crystals. Swarovski issue their own bauble each year with a dated tag (which would be a lovely momento of the year they married). They're collectors items. This is the 2021 edition: https://www.swarovski.com/enGB-GB/p-5596399/Annual-Edition-2021-Ball-Ornament/?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI1bCH68zj8gIVGKp3Ch3srgTOEAQYASABEgK1LfDD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds

One of my most treasured Christmas decorations is from Harrods with the year we got married on it.

Is your friend getting married in the UK? You could have a look at Braybrook and Britten, an English company, who do sterling silver tree decorations, hallmarked 2021 and can engraved. Not sure if the hallmarks are London or Birmingham or some where else - you could ring and ask if there's a location that might be significant.

I like the annual Wedgwood baubles
