My answers are NO NO and NO.
Think we are going to put the decorations up today. We were going to do it yesterday but bad wife and mother that I am had a stonking hangover and couldn't be arsed.
We have one house at the back of ours that looks like something out of Northern Lights. It's the only house decorated at the moment and looks very odd.

No No and No lol

We are waiting to get our tree(real)bit later on and decorations are still in a box in the attic.

Christmas pressies mostly bought and wrapped but no danger of being under tree,dd2 would have them opened.

Christmas cards written and stamped ready to post.

So almost there

Sparkler

I have to be organised, always ask my mum to babysit the dd's and supervise the ds's so i get 1 big shopping day but this year have been doing little bits.

I am booking me and Dh (he doesn't know) into a hotel for a few hours for, well you can imagine i am sure lol. So this is happening when my mum thinks we are shopping hence me being organised.

agalch · 02/12/2007 08:47

We had no honeymoon or even a wedding night so it'll be a Christmas present he will like i think

ABudafulSightWereHappyTonight · 02/12/2007 08:47

No, no and no! Too early for decs imho.

Advent calenders out (lego and playmobile). Advent candle ready to go.

3 (yes 3) cards written.

Most presents bought but can't wrap yet - we are in Budapest and are going to Dublin for Xmas - some presents are there and some are here - will wrap there.

Today's plan is to sort out decorations as the IB students at school want unwanted ones to decorate an old folks home here on Wednesday.

Tree and decorations will go up next Saturday which is still a bit early for me really but we go away on 19th and want to enjoy it for a while.

ABudafulSightWereHappyTonight · 02/12/2007 08:48

Nice plan agalch!!!! He will love it!

agalch · 02/12/2007 08:50

I read a thread by another mnetter, gonzo or gizmo or something and loved the idea.

Asked DH what he fancied for Christmas this year and he said me so hey ho. Will have a red face checking out early though

SantaBeClausImWorthIt · 02/12/2007 08:57

I start putting deoorations up on 1 December, starting with the advent calendar. It's a big felt one with a pocket for each day that I hang on one wall - although it's quite big it looks a bit lonely on its own, so I also put some Christmas candles out on the mantlepiece and I have Christmas table mats that go on the table, with a new tablecloth. Yesterday I bought a little wooden Christmas tree

here

which is in the hall by the telephone

I've also bought some Christmas kitchen towel !

Christmas tree doesn't go up till about a week before Christmas, and I haven't written my cards yet.

CharlieAndLolasMummy · 02/12/2007 10:45

Oh except haven't put up decorations, am doing that today, but thats the FUN bit of xmas.

MN is being SLOW this year though, where are our festive smilies? What happens if I do Xmas Smile

CharlieAndLolasMummy · 02/12/2007 10:46

ah

bugger all

WELL

Hekate · 02/12/2007 10:49

Yes. Everything done. Well, gifts in loft not under tree because they wouldn't last 10 seconds if the boys knew they were in the house!

But gifts done, food ordered, cards ready, decorations up, drink ordered, invites issued, menu planned, extra gifts bought in case of uexpected visitors! ......

[smug]

Decoration us yeaterday and today, cards not posted but about a quater of parcels wrapped.

I LOVE XMAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

mozzybear · 02/12/2007 12:16

Most pressies bought (but not wrapped)
Have cards and stamps but have not written them
Putting up xmas decorations this week - tree may need to be nailed to ceiling as DS is very hands on.
Have put in tesco online xmas order (stayed up till midnight to get the 22nd, not sure if this is organised or sad)
Have day off next week to go for last odds and ends.

I think I'm not doing too bad. Last year DS was 7 weeks old at xmas, I don't remember much really, all a bit of a newborn blur.

Just need to download fairytale of new york and it will officially be xmas in the mozzy household

ivykaty44 · 02/12/2007 12:22

No No and No, will write cards and will not be putting up decorations or wraping presents until much much nearer christmas - I like christmas to be a special time and kept around the 24th of december onwards so do not decorate until the weekend beofre the 25th itself.

niceglasses · 02/12/2007 12:27

None of the above, but I hit gold this morning. Whilst avoiding doing my essay, mooching in a old drawer, found some of last years cards, already written, that I didn't post!!! Great.......just hope I didn't write 'have a great 2007', but they'll just think i got a bit confusted won't they??

Lazarou · 02/12/2007 12:30

The tree and decorations are up, but the children keep messing with it, it's driving me insane!
The presents are all upstairs waiting to be wrapped. No cards though, too much hassle.

mozzybear · 02/12/2007 12:30

lol niceglasses! Sometimes it pays to be disorganised (not to mention avoid essays)

ABudafulSightWereHappyTonight · 03/12/2007 06:55

Cards for posting are now written and DH has taken into office for posting.

Have DS off school (again!) with a cold today so will do cards for friends here which I will give to people directly.

Will do a Tesco wine and beer order today to get sent to my parents as we will be there for Xmas.

shoshaliteupthetree · 03/12/2007 07:06
