DSD wants nothing but to be healthy! Clueless!

Based on other Christmas threads on here, I said to DSD in passing this morning to maybe start having a look online and give me and her dad some ideas for Christmas. She said "I have everything I want and need here - I just want to be healthy". She is a healthy girl so no issues there, but I'm truly stumped what to get her. She's 13. She's not girlie at all so not into make up, perfumes etc but did say she likes bath bombs so we will get her a couple of the gift hampers from lush etc nearer the time.

Anyone have any ideas??? Both Dh and I are sat here totally clueless and don't want to just give her money (we will already give her £50 in a card)

Ahh i see shes 13 a day out somewhere with watersports or activities then!

How about cooking lessons, I've seen teen ones advertised here, a gym membership and/or clothes, fees to join a running club with an active teen section, might be good to get her doing things in the community

Thanks for the suggestions of workout gear and a block of classes! Will look into them :)

A Graze subscription of health snacks. My dd loved the one I got her for her birthday.

One of those skipping ropes without the rope?

13 and near Glasgow: snowboarding lessons at Glencoe.

Assume she has a bike to get around on?

mrssunshinexxx · 22/08/2021 19:15

@ReginaaPhalange what a sweetheart
What about a couple of experience days / acitvies ? Like indoor sky diving or horse riding full week or something along those lines sorry if totally not appropriate

A pony?

One gift hamper of Bath bombs is probably enough.

Wait and ask her again in October when she might have more idea.

Maybe an experience- horse riding lesson, indoor skiing, a massage, spa day, that kind of thing

I'm a long way from 13 but someone got me this as a present and I love it, bought myself a fountain pen to go with it Grin

On the theme of bath bombs, get her a body shop or similar advent calendar, for her to open during January? My dd loves a “gift” that keeps giving after xmas.

Jumpingintosummer · 24/08/2021 13:43

@ReginaaPhalange we pay for gym class memberships for all the DC’s (Scotland, kids memberships) but got DD and block of PT sessions and a pair of metcon trainers as her main gift two years ago.

@PennyWus

At this age I got obsessed with calligraphy and growing cactii and succulents. Out of nowhere! Maybe go really off the wall. Growing things is a really lovely mindful hobby, perhaps she would enjoy some indoor or outdoor plants if you have space?
This sounds like a really lovely idea
