Inspired by threads in previous years that have been so useful. My just adults sons love a stocking, and prepare a lovely thoughtful one for me too. I think they like it because they are surprise, quirky gifts rather than larger gifts that they have requested.

We always have Christmas socks, mini panettone, chocolate coins, stationery items, and maybe some not lynx smellies.

Previously I have given nail clippers, gloves, hats, rolled up tshirt, multi tool, bike paraphernalia. I realise this list is not very quirky. I will try to remember more inspiring ideas.

Would anyone like to share ideas? Would like to get started...

Consumables are always great, if there's a snack or chocs that you know they really like, or a luxury version of it. Best advice I saw on here was to replace something practical that they needed, or a better version of it. (Can apply to ladies too). Things that have down well with my DH are flavoured coffee syrups, wallet ninja, funky golf balls, accessories for cricket, nice belts, and chocolates. Oh, and I always stick in an obligatory Lynx set because he actually really likes the stuff, haha. Grin

Things which have been a hit in this household for either DH or DSS (21) are:

  • Stay Cool gym towel
  • Nice gardening gloves
  • Emergency bag for drying out phone if dropped in water
  • Touch screen gloves
  • Posh pork scratchings
  • Little packets of spice blends or unusual chillies (The Spicery are great for this)
  • Magnetic wristband for DIY

I found mini car cleaning products in Halfords that I'm gonna put in my husbands Christmas stocking!

Most of my successes have already been named but one thing that hasn't (that he loved) was a piece of meteorite in a decorative matchbox.

It was only £5 but he was super thrilled with it: www.notonthehighstreet.com/marvlingbros/product/you-re-a-star-meteorite-gift-in-a-matchbox?DGMKT=FID__TID_pla-341097577336_PID_861099_CRI_341097577336&gclid=Cj0KCQjwg7KJBhDyARIsAHrAXaHjV5ZsULlzAomWcZgANKCjfY8VF29Fa2ooUGfUhrFjuGgnNUf85_4aAreeEALw_wcB

I also got him some handmade planet shaped chocolates. As you can tell, he's a bit of a space geek.
