I'm absolutely stumped as usual

My DH has the most guy-desired job where he gets to drive new cars, eat at the best restaurants, travel (and play golf when he gets there) and watch/meet sports people. (don't ask!)

AARGH! I did the cute here's a voucher thing for lie in, a morning where he goes and plays golf etc for his birthday at end of Oct.

what's everyone else doing?

IsawKIMIkissingSantaClaus · 29/11/2007 19:47

DH1 golf clubs (me, my mum and my sister all chipping in)

New DP, (don't laugh) a build it yourself millennium falcon

redheadmum · 29/11/2007 19:57

thanks Princess, just scooted through the thread...might snaffle the sunday papers idea depending on how much that will sink me......

men are soooo difficult to buy for. Or at least mine is!

was pondering some stupid golf game but wonder if he will ever get time to play it.

hmmmmmmmmmmmm

Where do you live ??

I have a great idea, but you need to live near London or Soton. IIRC.

fairydust · 29/11/2007 20:01

A trip in a hot air balloon

Egg · 29/11/2007 20:02

My DH has asked for the Transformers film on DVD .

redheadmum · 29/11/2007 20:08

I'm London - give it up! (yes I am desperate)

Red Letter Days do a speedboating on the Thames experience.

I recently bought them as Award ceremony gifts and the young males who received them now think I am the Queen Mother of cool gifts.

Will google a link.

BreeVanDerCampLGJ · 29/11/2007 20:13

Here

BreeVanDerCampLGJ · 29/11/2007 20:14

And if you google Red Letter Days discount code you should get about 10 % discount.

redheadmum · 29/11/2007 20:47

thanks Bree - will check it out

I've bought him a few small things this year. We got married and bought a new house this year so nothing flash for us. A digital photo frame which I know he will love and I may get him a flight simulater lesson. He has been learning to fly but we have had to put that on hold aswell. I did look into renting an austin martin for the day, so I could go aswell. Last year I got him kitesurfing lessons.

redheadmum · 29/11/2007 21:34

whats a digital photo frame?

LyraSilvertongue · 29/11/2007 21:45

DP wants - wait for it - a roof rack on the car so he can get his kayak down to the river more easily. How dull is that?

Boogalooblue · 29/11/2007 21:46

Fuck all he is being an ARSE

cazzybabs · 29/11/2007 21:46

Some old man slippers - as we went for cold flooring in the kitchen and no underfloor heating...it is really so I will still get my cup of tea in the mornings!

I may also get him some clothes!

yogimum · 29/11/2007 21:48

redheadmum, I didn't know what one was either and now I have seen them everywhere. You put in the memory stick from your digital camera and it shows the different pictures. I got it for £90 which was half price.

aintnomountainhighenough · 29/11/2007 22:25

I am getting my DH a guitar with guitar lessons. He really wants to learn and encourage our DCs to play a muscial instrument. Sorry probably doesn't help you however how about:

  • a day at Mercedes/Maclaran testing where they get to drive one of the cars too
  • a weekend at Calcot Manor - just you two no children
  • golf lessons with analysis. All the better if you are in La Manga
  • If he likes cooking - a cookery course
  • if he likes wine - a wine tasting trip
MrsArchieTheInventor · 29/11/2007 22:26

I can't tell you cos he sneaks a peek on mn and it would give the game away!

Boogalooblue · 29/11/2007 22:34

or a D.I.V.O.R.C.E

brimfull · 29/11/2007 22:43
