A few people have asked me how they should thank the person who sent them something - can I suggest you post on here? Namechange if you want to remain anonymous, and remember that your donor won't know your MN name anyway - so maybe give some clues (ie "thank you for the lego and the chocolate")

And by the way scooby - I've just realised that veryhappy isn't who you think she is! (more than one Bob fan out there )

DingDongMerriLullyOnHigh · 05/12/2007 18:07

wabbit...I need to email you in a mo....

TenLordsaLapin · 05/12/2007 18:08

No worries

SenoraPostrophe · 05/12/2007 18:14

that's weird - I didn't post on this thread. sorry for intrusion!

Rhubarb · 05/12/2007 19:34

I thought I was a giver and have just found out that I am also a recipient! Thank you so much to whoever comes from Swaffham in Norfolk and sent me a little parcel of goodies for dd and ds, plus 2 wrapped parcels that I will save for Christmas Day. It brought a smile to my face and a lovely warm glow inside knowing that people could be so generous to strangers without wanting anything in return.

This really is the spirit of Christmas! So thank you to the anonymous Mumsnetter and to LittleLapin for organising it this year.

xx

I have now received a parcel! So thanks to the person who sent HP cards and a magic set (as well as other things). Also, big thanks to whoever nominated me (it's really bugging me as I can't work it out!)

Thanks to Lapin for sorting it all out too.

I said to Lapin that although it has been a horrible year for me, I have not wanted for anything financially. It felt a little weird accepting anything and I tried to pass my nomination on. However, she wouldn't let me! I have taken it as a great compliment that someone cared about me and noticed my postings on here enough to nominate me.

Sorry for rambling and you are all fab!

Rhubarb · 05/12/2007 21:17

I didn't even know I was nominated! So someone on here has my address - spooky!

onlyjoking9329 · 05/12/2007 21:24

kerry glad you got the parcel ok.
Lapin thankyou for sorting all this out you are truely amazing you know, thankyou for allowing me to send stuff to someone it has made me very happy to do this.

TenLordsaLapin · 05/12/2007 21:47

ANother thank you here

lucyellensmum · 05/12/2007 22:14

thanks for the link lapin, i was kindly nudged in this direction and was about to cut and paste.

I feel as my finances have been tight and i have been too disorganised to take part. I would like to extend a further thankyou to lapin, i cannot begin to fathom the amount of work she has had to do to do this, it is amazing and as i say, im still choked up. Sometimes i can be quite cynical about the world, but not today - saying that, i think Mnet has saved me from despair more than once, it is quite a phenomenon.

veryhappy · 06/12/2007 11:44

another parcel which had been lost at post office for over a week!!!!!!

the 'mumsnetter' thing confused them

thank you for the books for dh and I, mine made me chuckle 'making babies' no more from this direction, I have had a year of hell love!!

I have left the presents addressed to the children to open on Christmas Day.

Thank you very very much

I have also just sent my donated parcel off this morning.

veryhappy · 06/12/2007 11:51

just wanted to add that at the moment dd & ds2 are playing with the box the presents came in

Peachy · 06/12/2007 12:19

For the person wh sent us the PC games / mine pies/ gifts (as yet unopened) and sweets

I am so shcked I can barely speak!

Today has been a very low day- I have a thread in Sn right now- but suddenly I feel incredibly supported and grateful and I can't believe peoples kindness!. I'm not sure if I even mentioned ds1's chicken obsession (that and Pigs) on MN but the chicken game will make his millenium, let alone day!

I can't even begin to explain what the generosity of my givers has meant to us, thank you so very much.
