A few people have asked me how they should thank the person who sent them something - can I suggest you post on here? Namechange if you want to remain anonymous, and remember that your donor won't know your MN name anyway - so maybe give some clues (ie "thank you for the lego and the chocolate")

OMG! The postman just came!! The boys have 2 parcels, a book each from Amazon. Ds1 has seen it, and is desperate to open them, but we're waiting till christmas

LL I posted mine last Wednesday, do you think it is lost?

I am unsure as I seen a Newspaper had sent variousitems to variuos locations and some did take up to a week. I have tried calling local PO where I sent it from but they are closed half-day today.

OK, fess up! Who sent that hamper to us? And that box of toys to the DDs?

I had a lovely big parcel delivered today addressed to Mrs Mumsnetter, inside were lots of lovely wrapped gifts, and a note saying they contained biscs and chocs, golden coins and things, I was in tears, THANKYOU so much! We have had a pretty rubbish year here and after yet another bad day this really put a smile on my face, feel really overwhelmed that someone was so kind and am determined that I will be in a position to be a giver next year too!

I can't say THANKS enough to the sender of that hamper. What a mood lifter!

And to whoever sent those parcels to the DDs, they are under the tree just now, causing no end of curious prodding by the DDs.

Wow I cannot thank my secret santa(s) enough!

I got a lovely card (from Santa! ) with an M&S voucher for me. And a lovely big present for ds which is waiting under the tree (with a rip or two from when I wasn't looking!).
You're generosity is overwhelming. You really made my christmas and ds cannot wait to open his gift, thank you so much.

And (I think) that my second parcel, which arrived yesterday, was off someone else. It was a bundle of clothes for ds. Thank you so much! I really couldn't believe it. And the clothes are a perfect size.

I'm sorry, i coudlnt contain myself, i just couldn't - when the HUGE parcel arrived this morning. My DD and I were so excited we were tearing at the box in a frenzy!

My box contained A Remote control Thomas the tank engine, a take along thomas set and a dance mat. I was going to sneak it away for xmas but my dd came to the door when the postman knocked and we were just so excited. This present is just so thoughtful as i have mentioned that my DD loves thomas on my threads before. I don't have the words to thank you enough.

My little girl has had a perfect day today, we opened her presents, went to a xmas party with her play group and now she is playing with her dance mat, holding onto Thomas, who she says is "my new friend" and she hasnt put him down since we got home.

MrsMNSanta - yes, i did receive an email from LL saying that someone was worried as they were going to send me the Steamy Thomas It must have been fate anyway, because my xmas shopping day is tomorrow so it was definately destined for my DD. My DD loves it, she is still playing with it now, you should see her little face. When LL emailed me i thought that maybe there were cross wires as it was too much of a coincidence, so still a huge surprise when it arrived this morning. AND the take along set, AND the dance mat - What can i say THANKYOU XXXXX
