What do you think about a black christmas tree instead of a green one?

Perhaps a slim one, with purple/silver decorations.

I am in 2 minds. Part of me likes it, part of me thinks it looks weird.

So I have decided to let you choose.

Vote green, vote black, vote DGAF (Don't Give a Feck) and I'll go with the majority.

If the majority is DGAF I'll forget the tree, stick tinsel on my dh and stand him in the corner till new year!

black is a bit morbid. get a pink fluffy one

I'm with Humphrey. I like the decorated DH idea too!
I'd go for green. Other colours just don't look right.
And no Upside down trees at all!

a real one. they tend to be green.

my mm has a choclate brown one from john lewis and it looks fab

she is major into xmas its ridiculos she spent about 60 quid on it its ridiculous

ditto martianbishop. The kids decorate ours every year. Its so lopsided, I'm surprised it stays up. Tree is real so obv green. Naff trees are beautiful

A black tree will look dated in a couple of years, a green tree won't, so there!

Well, I say go real, i.e. green. But if I was having a fake one I would like a purple one. Or navy. But definitely the right way up, those upside down ones make me feel seasick.

Trees are a symbol of rebirth in the festival of midwinter. They remind us that the seeds and plants (and therefore food) will come back again.

So fundamentally, utterly and with no question green.

To me, getting a black tree would be like trying out purple snow on the windows. All wrong.
