Everyone I speak to has done half their shopping, written lists of what they need to get, bought cards, wrapping paper etc, and one friend has wrapped up the odd thing.

I have barely started to think about Christmas yet, let alone started buying things!

Anyone else out there still as unprepared as me?

I've bought everything except the food and alcohol.
Have a look at the white company. They have got some really lovely things.

Mercy · 09/11/2007 15:04

I haven't done a thing either!

Nbg · 09/11/2007 15:06

If I wasnt due at the end of this month then I wouldnt have done anything.

As it is, I've done the lot

Niecie · 09/11/2007 15:08

I'm thinking about it, my boys are bombarding me with what they want but I haven't actually done anything.

Maybe next week!

Pollyanna · 09/11/2007 15:11

I haven't done one thing towards christmas yet

I did find a christmas cake recipe I wanted to make, but didn't do anything more with it.

we are too busy arguing about who is hosting Christmas in our family to actually do anything

Lazarou · 09/11/2007 15:13

My parents are going to cafe rouge on christmas day. No effort required!

pointydog · 09/11/2007 15:18

I bought a box of cards last weekend.

There's no rush

witchandchips · 09/11/2007 15:19

oh my god was thinking that i was coming all over nigella by making the christmas puddings this weekend.

fireflyfairy2 · 09/11/2007 15:19

I've not done anything.

I've looked at bikes & tractors, but as yet, haven't spent a brass farthing on anything

GColdtimer · 09/11/2007 15:20

Is it Christmas, I am in denial.

Pinkchampagne · 09/11/2007 16:54

I'm glad it's not just me! I think I'm in denial too. It seems to have crept up very suddenly!

I haven't bought anything except some books in the sale at redhouse a while back.

iota · 09/11/2007 17:02

ds1 has started writing his Xmas list...

that's it so far

florenceuk · 09/11/2007 17:12

I'll join the list - I've still got one birthday party to get out of the way!

niceglasses · 09/11/2007 17:16

Nah, got loads of cards left over from last year when I didn't send any. Bought one toy in Home Bargains, and thats it.

In all reasonablness and honesty its too blardy early anyway. Really, it is.

BoysAreLikeDogs · 09/11/2007 17:18

Always got to get DS1's birthday out of the way first (end of November) so am going 'la la la' with my fingers in my ears atm when anyone mentions Christmas.

Pinkchampagne · 09/11/2007 17:30

I have 4 December birthdays first too, and haven't got sorted there either!

I have a christmassy business so I do my businessy christmas from march onwards.
My "domestic" christmas gets left and left, despite my best intentions.
I am utterly fed up with christmas by about august!

zippitippitoes · 09/11/2007 17:42

no chance..it couldn't be further from my mind

I bought some wrapping paper in Ikea the other day, but that's it.

janeite · 09/11/2007 18:12

Dp has bought a Christmas pudding and a bottle of Baileys. I have bought two books for dd2 and a few bits for dd1's friends. That's it!

Now that Ofsted is out of the way, I intend to think about Christmas though!

Cards - usually make them myself but now only send about 8 and donate money to charity instead.

Wrap - will buy brown paper and white ribbon and handmake the tags - so easy to sort out.

Presents - am without inspiration at the moment but suspect it will be books all round.

Food - I'm just starting to think about this. I don't want a traditional roast dinner this year and instead am thinking of some sort of veggie tart, with roast vege and sauteed savoy cabbage - but will probably change my mind.

weebleswobble · 09/11/2007 18:20

Well, I've done everything from shopping to wrapping, buying food and ordering turkey and lamb, and I'm Jewish. Pull your socks up ladies!

TheDuchessOfNorksBride · 09/11/2007 18:45

Apart from booking tickets to Bedgebury Lapland and bagging a Christmas Ocado delivery, I have done absolutely nothing.

I'll start cooking & ordering online in a couple of weeks.
