We call them 'ho ho houses' in our family. There's one in our local town and people drive by and stop and look at it.

All the money goes to charity.

Horrah for christmas!!!

Where did you get that picture of my house from!! I too love lights but more the clear, dare I say, classier variety?

I love christmas lights. Though last year Italy was invaded by Santas climbing on balconies. didn't like those.

princessPUMPKINmel · 30/10/2007 13:05

Yes I wouldn't fancy living opposite a 'ho ho house' but they're good for a visit with the children.

I like a tastefull outside for my house.
I do have multi colored on my indoor tree though. I just can't resist them(not flashing, never flashing!) .
They remind me of my childhood christmases. We were cross when mum switched hers to white ones!!

so if i want a classy xmas tree i have to decorate it with non-coloured non flashing lights?

i think i can manage that!!

now what about the colour of the baubles?

princessPUMPKINmel · 30/10/2007 13:16

I like goats too actually. I always want to get one for somebody but don't know who would not be upset about not having a RL girt iykwim.

NA, I think you're supposed to think of a theme. 1 or possibly 2 colours and stick to it. No tinsel. Like in Debenhams!!!

I on the other hand go for multi colored evrything, including homemade childrens decorations.

OP posts:
nappyaddict · 30/10/2007 13:18

what about that tinsel that's stringy that you sort of throw all over the tree?
