Part of the fun of a tree is seeing dd's decorations taking pride of place at the front of it. I don't/can't do the Homes & Gardens type; a tad too clinical for me. But I do do clear (white) lights.
Oh and I make peppermint creams, turkish delight, fudge and truffles...I lurve Christmas!

I love sparkling white lights outside a house, it fair brightens up a dark December evening but theres a v fine line between brightening up a dark night and oh my god your house can be seen from space!
