Morning all and a very happy Christmas!

On the back of the Christ bargains thread, can we have a thread to report back on how the bargains were received?! The good, the bad and the ugly (poopsy unicorn I'm looking at you here!!)
Nothing opened in this house yet, everyone's still in bed!

A big thank you to everyone on the bargains thread, it's always such a friendly thread :)

The brio world farm set is a win with the youngest and the ice cream cart is open and doing a thriving business!

Merry Christmas to you all x

TakeMeToYourLiar · 25/12/2020 08:48

Ditto on the brio set, only thing he's opened so far and happy playing with it :)

WithIcePlease · 25/12/2020 08:49

Only opened Christmas Eve box so far
Cinnamon bun kit and bubble panda tea were great - they loved them 😊

CaramelCandle · 25/12/2020 09:04

Nothing opened yet as the youngest is still asleep! Can't wait for it to start and the eldest is being so patient.

sorryiasked · 25/12/2020 09:28

Good morning everyone!

I was one of the lucky M&S bargain gin recipients and that went down very well last night.
I clearly missed out on the "back of the Christ bargains thread" though Grin

Squ1ggle · 25/12/2020 09:38

Up at 5am this morning but was worth it to see the kids faces. Youngest doesn't really 'get it' yet but eldest has been so excited all morning. DH super happy with his aldi lego millennium falcon

NewYorkIvy · 25/12/2020 10:06

The Typo novelty cushions (a globe and a donut) have gone down very well

yafilthyanimalandahappynewyear · 25/12/2020 10:58

Out of all the presents (and there were many as I went a bit nuts this year) my 14 year old said one of her favourites was a glasses cleaner which I got from eBay for about £2 and has a photo of our dog printed on it!

lifelongfrugaleer · 25/12/2020 11:05

Coffee selection from Paddy and Scott and beard kit a hit with DH
Indoor snow balls a family hit (from home bargains)
I. Love my wax lyrical candles.
Mrs Snow balls bath bomb the coal one already been used.
DS loving his vans

moldrum · 25/12/2020 11:09

The John Lewis Sylvanian house that was a definite pricing error is a real hit with our resident 6 year old , so a massive thank you to the spotter of that one!

PatchworkElmer · 25/12/2020 11:22

Brio World farm set a huge hit here. Absolute bargain.

PatchworkElmer · 25/12/2020 11:23

Oh and the £5 Lego monster truck was very well received.

snugglyblanket · 25/12/2020 11:27

Biggest hits here for my 12yo (& DH!) are the Scrawlrboxes, so thanks to the poster who pointed out their reduced boxes. Think DD may get a subscription for her birthday this year.
Never managed to get the cinnamon buns but picked up a couple of the other kits and they went down well too. Also, the free Google Nest from upgrading Spotify to the family plan arrived 2 days ago so bonus present which went down well.
DS has no interest in any of the new stuff I bought but is loving the second hand Imaginext toys I got from eBay 😊

ILoveAnOwl · 25/12/2020 11:34

The £4 princess poppy outfit from ebay has been a HUGE hit xx

Luxplus · 25/12/2020 12:51

Here it's been the barbie dream house and present pet that's a hit. But also the sketcher projector was a huge hit and youngest dd is loving her talking story unicorn

Someaddedsugar · 25/12/2020 13:05

Another DP over the moon with the Paddy & Scott coffee set. Thank you to the person who posted that one! I just wish I'd bought another!!

Also a very happy secret Santa recipient thanks to the £10 John Lewis code a while back. Another thanks to the person who posted that code!

Howcanwehelp · 25/12/2020 13:08

Thanks to the person who recommended the headphones back in black Friday. My boys were super excited to get them.

Lellyo · 25/12/2020 13:16

My DH loves his Paddy and Scott coffee, Spicery, how to be a curry legend, and his sapling vodka. Thank you to everyone who posted these bargains and the many others I was able to pick up along the way.

yafilthyanimalandahappynewyear · 25/12/2020 13:20

Oh, and a massive thank you to the person who posted about the £50 off for new customers at Very. My seventeen year old is thrilled with his iPhone!

Sideorderofchips · 25/12/2020 14:26

Bouncy ball kit, remote control range rover, pogo bouncer all gone down well. And the craft sets from the works

Mustangsallyis · 25/12/2020 15:02

Wax lyrical candle was a big hit here. Also the usborne puzzle and book sets and the scriball colour in football

Mustangsallyis · 25/12/2020 15:03

Oh, also neon sheep goodies as well as a few bits from Rex london and Lisa angel!

ApplesinmyPocket · 25/12/2020 16:24

Coffee hamper from Paddy and Scott - can the original poster of this stand up and take a bow? it was amazing value and beautifully presented.

I'd never have known about it if not for MN.

Really enjoy these threads every year from about August onwards, so thanks to ALL who instigate and contribute.

BigGreen · 25/12/2020 16:35

I'm so pleased, my DC loved all the presents this year.

Thanks to this thread for the Meg and Mog book set, WH Smith sale, Lego pirate ship 🏴‍☠️ tons of bits from Rex London!

Puffalicious · 25/12/2020 17:42

Paddy &Scott's set went down a storm, as did the Oodies, the chess set from Jaques of London, the Wax Lyrical candles, the Kuku bird leggings, all the Typo stuff and the £5 personalised tshirts. Oh, and the Seasalt jute bags. You can see I was busy!

Big upset is that DS3's Switch Lite has a fault and the sound is not working. DH and DS2 been googling like mad to no avail.
Lots of explaining that we'll get it back to the elves to repair and one unhappy boy for a bit of today.

Got it in the Asda deal with £60 off. Am now worried if I return it they'll have no stock so want to refund me and I'm left having to order one at full price. Or do you think I should contact Nintendo directly.
