What vegetables do you do for Christmas dinner?

I usually do roast potatoes, maple parsnips, honey and thyme carrots, sprouts stir fried rather than boiled, either with pancetta and chestnuts, garam masala or a balsamic glaze. Also broccoli because it’s the only vegetable fussy DS will eat.

Loads...
Roast - potatoes, carrots, parsnip, red onion, garlic
Cauliflower cheese
Sprouts
Leeks
Possibly peas, but there may not be room
I meant to get red cabbage but forgot.

I like the veg though, won't have a massive piece of meat.

Lovemusic33 · 24/12/2020 10:03

We ordered a veg box so was a bit of a surprise this year, we have...

Roast potatoes, parsnips and carrots.
Boiled carrots.
Sprouts with bacon and chestnuts.
Might do one more, I'll see what comes in the veg box this morning.

MargosKaftan · 24/12/2020 10:13

Roasted potatoes, parsnips, carrots, then peas and sprouts. Ds has requested sweetcorn and I can see no reason not to bung some in the microwave.

If we've got guests I do fancy veg, but the dcs don't really like them and have decided this year im not hiding in the kitchen, but playing with the kids for the bulk of the day.

TheSmallAssassin · 24/12/2020 10:18

Sprouts (not this year as my parents and inlaws won't be coming and they're the only ones who eat them!)
Broccoli & cauliflower cheese (just plain broccoli this year, normally it's mainly for the visiting vegetarians and DH doesn't like it, so seems like too much effort)
