What time will everyone be up Xmas morning 😁
Hopefully my 3 won't be too early!

Until number 3 arrived, we had a 7am limit. They could visit each other's bedrooms before then but couldn't go downstairs or come into us before then.

This year, no 3 is 14 months old and wakes any time between 5am and 6.30 so we will be open for Christmas business whenever the big two wake up.😂

Deelish75 · 17/12/2020 15:46

Probably 6.30/7. I’m happy with that.

Aroundtheworldin80moves · 17/12/2020 15:47

I'll be surprised if mine surface before 8am. They like their sleep.

Hohomerryxmas · 17/12/2020 16:06

I'll be surprised if I'm up before 7.30am. Last couple of years DC haven't woken before 8am, sometimes almost 9am! They really like their sleep!

rosydreams · 17/12/2020 16:34

what ever time we hear ....... MUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUM SANTAS BROUGHT OUR STOCKING MUUUUUUUUUUUUM

Scanner20 · 17/12/2020 16:53

Mine wake up at their usual time around 7.30, wonder if this year will be different as my eldest is almost 5 and might wake earlier. I'm usually awake before them feeling excited for them!!!

Hairwizard · 17/12/2020 17:00

Hopefully not stupid oclock. My eldest often is awake after 5. Usually he entertains himself but then if dd gets up too then thats it. Twins will sleep to 7 most mornings. Ive already told ds the plan for christmas morning so we will see.

HappyChristmasTreeRex · 17/12/2020 17:01

Our toddler sleeps amazingly so we are wondering if we will be the ones waiting for her to wake up!

dementedpixie · 17/12/2020 17:02

Had to wake my kids last year before it got to lunchtime (they are teens)

wendz86 · 17/12/2020 17:02

Kids are at their dads but i will still be awake about 7 no doubt.

Juanbablo · 17/12/2020 17:04

I have a 6am rule. Any time after that I don't mind.

ElfieElfington · 17/12/2020 17:08

Me and the dog will no doubt be first up, I have a teenager !!!

actiongirl1978 · 17/12/2020 17:11

No one allowed downstairs unless we are all together and 5.30am is my hard limit.

I don't drink on Xmas eve as I have learnt that Xmas morning is awful even after one glass of wine!

This Yr we have a puppy so frankly I might be up all night!

williowrosenburg · 17/12/2020 17:13

I think last year DD woke us at 2am, then 4am.... think we have in just after 5 lol
She was only 3 bless her. But I'm not expecting this year to be any different.... she wakes up early for anything exciting... she was up just after 6 yesterday as it was her school Xmas party. I walked in at 7 and she was already dressed 🤣

TheGremlinsAreComing · 17/12/2020 17:19

My lot have never been up before 8.30/9 but then they've always liked their sleep. I got lucky there! I'm normally up at 7 sorting the dogs, getting the pressies just so, and topping my coffee up with a drop of Baileys. I really enjoy that hour or so of peace where it's still a bit dark, just the tree lights on, and bacon under the grill for a cheeky sarnie before the kids get up Grin

Stepintochristmas2020 · 17/12/2020 17:20

We're up at 6am every day of the year, Christmas morning we get up earlier if we're awake.

Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear · 17/12/2020 17:41

DS 4yo wakes anytime between 5-7:30 so who knows! I'm hoping for after 6.

livingthegoodlife · 17/12/2020 17:59

7am rule here too! Last year we went to bed really late as we drove back from Disneyland on Christmas Eve so they got up at about 9/10am. Bliss! Lol.

goose1964 · 17/12/2020 18:06

We're all adults this year. I'll probably be up about 6 so I'll have me time until DS1 comes down at around 7.30 then I send caffeine up to DH to get him up by 8

goose1964 · 17/12/2020 18:08

DD and DDiL usually show signs of being on Facebook at silly o'clock waiting for the kids to wake up.

CoronaIsWatching · 17/12/2020 18:10

Between 8 and 9

StandardLampski · 17/12/2020 18:16

@actiongirl1978

Ta for the reminder about not being hungover christmas morning!

This is the first christmas day I'll not be working in years and that would have def slipped my mind Grin

Snuzzle · 17/12/2020 18:30

DD 6 was up at 3.30 last year and was way too excited to go back to bed. I’m praying she’ll sleep longer this year, would probably be happy to make it to 5.30/6

actiongirl1978 · 17/12/2020 19:03

@StandardLampski it's totally tempting to sink a few glasses but definitely, you'll enjoy xmas morning more if you abstain!

ServeTheServants · 18/12/2020 10:44

I’m incredibly envious of all the late sleepers!! My two (5 and 6) are always awake before 7, so Christmas morning will be no exception. They have a clock, so they know we get up at 7 onwards. They’ll be sharing a room on Christmas Eve (they don’t normally), so I dread to think what time they’ll be up chatting to each other until it’s time to get up!!
