Ordered stuff last week, said it was delivered but wit wasn't, contacted amazon who said it's been lost in transit and refunded the money to my amazon account. I have reordered but I'm panicking it won't come Sad this is stuff for DH. Has anyone else had problems or do you think it'll be right the second time? TIA.

Very erratic delivery times here. Have ordered "available" items , one arrived next day , others have been scheduled for 10 days. Some now due 22nd(17th when went to order) but I need to wrap and send on. Sad Am looking for replacements locally.

frustratedbox · 15/12/2020 19:43

Aww no. I don't have that option as I'm in the middle of nowhere Sad

For some reason Amazon won't accept my debit card, only credit card. I use the debit card all the time with no problems apart from Amazon. Got some cheeky woman on the phone last time telling me there probably wasn't enough money in the account and that I should contact my bank Angry

Solid, reliable deliveries here. Very impressed as we order most days.

Have Prime though so not sure if that makes a difference.

Miathecat · 15/12/2020 19:46

My last three amazon orders have been left in random places around my garden despite me being at home, it’s like a treasure hunt when I get the email saying it’s been delivered!

Pipandmum · 15/12/2020 19:52

Amazon has been great. I live on the Isle of Wight and next day means...next day!

Not this year last year my sister's present was saying handed to recipient but my dad never received it. So we got a refund and reordered. In March my dad checked his compost bin and in it was my sister's present. Now my dad and sister have matching garden ornaments.

IceCreamAndCandyfloss · 15/12/2020 20:01

No issues either, we have Prime and it’s been amazing as always despite the challenges of extra people ordering online etc.

frustratedbox · 15/12/2020 20:11

They're definitely not here. Checked bins, garden, neighbour plus DH was home on the alleged day.

I'm on prime too. It's so weird! I hope this next order will come okay then.

I've had them leave it outside the front door when I've not been in, no phone call or message asking them to do that. I live in a busy road with my front door almost right on the pavement I'm lucky it wasn't done

I've done amazoning for the year now, well unless I get a gift card at xmas

terrible service here for last couple of weeks. And I have used amazon a LOT for years. recently stuff massively delayed or just not turning up. Customer service has really really gone down hill. Spent ages trying to resolve an issue last week where only half of delivery arrived despite saying full order handed to resident, constantly fobbed off, told it would come next day etc and to wiat another 24 hour...eventually a neighbour from down the road came round with the box of missing items which had been delivered to them in amongst their parcels.
I undersatnd accidents happen, especially this time of year, but it was the really really hopelss customer servcie people that pissed me off and did nothing at all to resolve the issue. Have given up with them now tbh, which is no bad thing I suppose!

CoronaIsWatching · 15/12/2020 20:16

*lucky it wasn't nicked

crimsonlake · 15/12/2020 20:30

I am getting annoyed with amazon deliveries...Despite being in and leaving porch unlocked some are simply leaving parcels on the doorstep in full view of the road. My account then goes on to report ' handed to resident!' I have complained but it has happened again.

DrunkenKoala · 15/12/2020 21:33

Yep. Placed an order on Friday, for Saturday delivery. Late Saturday afternoon I received an email stating it’ll be delivered in 24-48 hrs. It’s still not arrived, not had any more communication with them, hoping it comes tomorrow which will give me time to wrap it on Thursday before DD finishes school.

BethHarmon · 15/12/2020 22:32

We’ve had problems with parcels going missing around here and people finding parcels ripped open and dumped

slipperywhensparticus · 15/12/2020 22:36

We have them failing to tell amazon they have delivered the item my bed was in the side passageway for days till I realised it was there its still not showing on amazon as delivered

Ltdannygreen · 15/12/2020 22:40

DP had an order say delivered, defo wasn’t, checked online to see it said delivered to reception, as great as it would be to have a receptionist in my house I defo dont. So non of the neighbours had it delivered. They refunded it but now some of the stuff DP ordered is out of stock.

Smokeahontas · 15/12/2020 23:34

I have Prime & four items that were due to be delivered tomorrow as one shipment have now been despatched but split into two - one due Friday and one due Saturday. The one that’s arriving Friday has no tracking details which is a bit worrying.

Longbarn5 · 16/12/2020 21:18

I buy almost everything from Amazon, rightly or wrongly, and that's hell of a lot of stuff one way or another. Never had a single issue with delivery. I may just be very lucky.

LIZS · 17/12/2020 11:05

Yay, all dispatched last night , due tomorrow now. Fingers crossed.

DrunkenKoala · 17/12/2020 12:06

Still not arrived and not heard from Amazon since Sunday (originally due on Sat). Amazon telling me to chase up DPD - Urgh.

LIZS · 17/12/2020 13:19

Not good @DrunkenKoala. Ours just turned up - 2 orders packed together.

vodkaredbullgirl · 17/12/2020 13:24

I have no problems with them, everything I order for family have arrived at their homes.

2tired2bewitty · 17/12/2020 13:37

We’ve had no problems, but locally at least two delivery vans have been stolen (one running the driver over in the process) so maybe something like that happened?
