Which companies get thumbs up or down at the moment.

Thumbs up for me is mandmdirect.com....the mousehousecheese company.....Dpd delivery (even Hermes has been ok) ...Orion for telescopes. All great communication and delivery.

Poor have been royal mail...2 items have gone missing that I know of. Matalan...gave me 2 dispatch notices for collecting at the store but not at store. Boots...can't contact them at all regarding delivery that didn't happen.

Probably others but mandm stand out as amazing. Luckily dss will wear the clothing from there and like clothes as gifts.

Any that stand out for you for whatever reason?

Not impressed with The Happy Puzzle company.

We were given a gift card to get some bits for the children. Took 2 weeks of ringing them to actually be able to use the card at all. Then the website takes the gift card of the balance before calculating postage, so although the order is well over the free delivery it still charges you.

It's a shame as they have some really nice games, DS already has a couple of puzzles which are really nice wooden pieces. However, I'll be buying from Amazon in future.

Completly agree with you Sennetti. My husband is a post man. He has not stopped since march. He's working till 9 8/9pm 6 days a week! They have NEVER been this busy. And some twat is moaning it took 6 days extra to get a parcel! He is just as susceptible to covid as any one else. Just like all the people working for Royal Mail. Just like all the people working for these companies. What an ugly, mean spirited and ignorant thread.

My husband was a postman a long time ago. I have nothing but praise for our postman. Some company's can be slow at getting things out but I never blame it on my postman.

All of the companies I have used have been small independent ones, mostly Etsy sellers. Most parcels arrived on time, early or just a tiny bit after the expected arrival date but so little it doesn't even count as late IMHO. All have been packed safely.

I think amazon has made people a bit spoilt and anything that arrives after the next day is "ages" just order in plenty of time and you will be fine. Your next day delivery puts huge pressure on people working on zero hours contracts in a dreadful working environment. Is it really worth it? 🤨
