Thumbs up for me is mandmdirect.com....the mousehousecheese company.....Dpd delivery (even Hermes has been ok) ...Orion for telescopes. All great communication and delivery.

Poor have been royal mail...2 items have gone missing that I know of. Matalan...gave me 2 dispatch notices for collecting at the store but not at store. Boots...can't contact them at all regarding delivery that didn't happen.

Probably others but mandm stand out as amazing. Luckily dss will wear the clothing from there and like clothes as gifts.

Any that stand out for you for whatever reason?

thats because the stock has been sent out from their warehouses to the stores

for home delivery they would need it all back in the warehouses to send out

that would take too long and isn't economical

I don’t particularly have a grievance with RM except perhaps that they keep muddling up our address with one of the same street name in a different village. But, I’m interested to know if they tendered to pick up the extra Amazon business or is it just sellers choosing to use RM?

BatleyTownswomensGuild · 10/12/2020 18:17

Mouse House Cheese Company get a huge thumbs up from me too.

John Lewis get thumbs up for awesome customer service.

Present Indicative has been great for presents for geeky brother and geeky husband.

Love Crafts for wool for me 😁

Iwasonceabrownie · 10/12/2020 18:18

No issues at all. Royal Mail are delivering as usual. I've had parcels from Germany and US delivered quicker than some of the companies here.

isitspringyet · 10/12/2020 18:18

Virgin Atlantic thumbs down.. can’t even go there

Tulipshoots · 10/12/2020 18:20

Crocus get a big thumbs down for awful customer service- rude and stubborn.
Waitrose flowers are fabulous. Mark’s and Spencer cocked up but sorted.

Someonesayroadtrip · 10/12/2020 19:01

thumbs down 👎 British Gas -fire and rehire of staff, refuse to employ more staff so can't meet customer need but their answer is make their some engineers work up to 12 hours more a week for less money. Government!

Thumbs up 👍 amazon, bring me drink, Disneyland.co.uk, next,

Agree with British Gas, what a dire experience I had with them. Not arsed about rectifying it either. I posted a review on trustpilot which was completely honest and they got it removed so I no longer trust that site either.

I'm with you re Hobbycraft Invisimamma. I ordered on the same day as you and not a despatch notification in site.

Someonesayroadtrip · 10/12/2020 20:12

@Tulipshoots - I agree, I noticed that when I tried to post a review about Ernest Jones.

junglepie · 10/12/2020 20:53

actually, surprisingly its a thumbs down for amazon for me. always used them and found their delivery and customer service excellent. recellenty though delivery very hit and miss. parcells going missing , despite stating they had been delivered, then days of arguing with customer services to try get a rufun/replacement....wont be using them anymore (which isnt a bad thing for many reasons)
Have been impressed with Royal mail . I had to send a super important parcell (folder of paperwork - not Christmas related) and it absolutely needed to get there next day. Sent it recorded delivery next day service at 10 am Monday, was delivered 12pm Tuesday. Grin

farnworth · 10/12/2020 21:21

Thumbs up for John Lewis from me too. Super speedy each time!

TheRubyRedshoes · 10/12/2020 23:46

Zara and h & m have been absolute stand outs for me, amazing service, websites, communication, speed of delivery etc.

Zara in particular has been amazing.

flirtingwith40 · 11/12/2020 00:03

Talk talk - massive thumbs down.
Just no.

Asda - big thumbs up for closing Boxing Day as a thank you to their staff.

Thumbs down

Thumbs up
Amazon

SushiGo · 11/12/2020 07:29

We haven't had any issues. Parcels from all retailers/delivery companies have taken a bit longer to arrive but all turned up eventually - which is completely fine.

There has been masses of warning that it was important to order early this year. If anyone didn't do that it's their own responsibility, not the fault of a delivery service which is understandably completely overwhelmed.

Literallynoidea · 11/12/2020 07:40

Our street is collecting money for our postwoman as she's been so brilliant

didireallysaythat · 11/12/2020 08:43

I did the online parcel pick up by royal mail this week - dead simple and you get an email proof of pick up (I went with the simplest method). Our postman is outstanding

movingonup20 · 11/12/2020 08:45

As normal Amazon is amazing, delivery out today that I ordered Wednesday on free (not prime) delivery. Other stuff I've click and collect mostly

movingonup20 · 11/12/2020 08:49

@Bummsbet

It's not the postmen at fault it's the system. I paid for tracked signed for 1st class and it took 6 days, the second class card I sent at the same time arrived 3 days earlier and it was twice as far away, both cities so not a rural issue. Royal Mail should not be offering a 93% next day service that takes 6 days, 2 days fine, 6 I should get compensation (I had to hand deliver 60 miles important paperwork) but they are using a covid get out clause.

movingonup20 · 11/12/2020 08:51

If anyone wants flowers, bunches were great, sent a Christmas reindeer planter and took 48 hours

juneybean · 11/12/2020 08:57

I don't want to say Wilko - I love Wilko but they do insist on using hermes and my new microwave has been sat with hermes since 24th November.

Bummsbet · 11/12/2020 09:59

@movingonup20 you really don't get it do you? People are dying! People are loosing loved ones. People are loosing their jobs and their homes. And you expect compensation because your parcel arrived in 6 days instead of 2! 'A get out clause' That's a pretty disgusting statement to be honest, you clearly have no real experience of the devastation this virus can cause to think it's just being used as an excuse! Yes it isn't the postmen that organise but there are more than just post men that work at Royal Mail. The exact same reasons - sickness, isolation, death even, applies to every department in Royal Mail. Just like it does to every other company. If a company is still able to procure orders and deliver them before Christmas they have done a fucking good job under the circumstances this year.

BerthaBlythe · 11/12/2020 13:53

👍 Next - they’ve dispatched items I’ve ordered in reasonable time and stated “coming soon” very clearly on their website when they don’t actually have certain in stock. I’ve gone elsewhere to look for items I wanted that they didn’t have at the time, but I keep coming back to them because I know they will deliver. Other companies take orders despite not having actual stock to hand, won’t release your money to allow you to order elsewhere before that item is oos everywhere.

Local businesses where I am have been brilliant. Despite having terrible websites, high delivery costs and slow deliveries, the customer service has been brilliant. It’s made me re-evaluate where I choose to spend my money.

👎 IWOOT worst customer service ever.
LookFantastic are a close second
