My dc are getting a big tub of LEGO. They are all old enough for it now and have an interest in construction toys.

As a child I dreamed of such LEGO set and I'm looking forward to play with it.

How about you ?

@Lovemusic33 we bought the back to the future playmobil advent calendar as a "family gift". Because DD has no concept of BTTF and doesn't have playmobil me and DH thought we'd get to play with it. That plan backfired as the first gift was little Marty and she loves him! We're not going to get a look in! Grandparents have bought her the Mystery Machine for Christmas as she loves watching Scooby Doo so I think its safe to say we're a playmobil house now

Needcoffeecoffeecoffee · 04/12/2020 10:21

We bought a big trak a few years ago. All very excited as both dh and I wanted them as children (obviously ages self!)
DC barely interested in it apart from setting it to shoot 99 times in a row Hmm

@Mrsfussypants1

Do you have a link for that fake grass? is it realistic 'grass', like people lay in their gardens, or ore like a playmat?

4Minions2CallMyOwn · 04/12/2020 10:31

Mrsfussypants1 · 04/12/2020 10:39

midnightstar66 · 04/12/2020 10:51

@Mrsfussypants1 gosh that is expensive but dd would adore it for her schleich horse collection 😬

Chocolatechocolatechocolate · 04/12/2020 11:13

I’ve got my little boy an electric ride on car - I’m still debating if I can fit in it to try it out 😊

AwkwardAsAllGetout · 04/12/2020 11:16

AirPods for my teenager. Still debating getting her a cheaper pair and pinching them for myself. I’ll be so cross if she loses them Hmm

@Pellewsmate

I always wanted a rocking horse, I had fond memories of one at the playschool I attended in the 70's. Once I had children I bought my father a set of plans for a rocking horse for a Christmas present, it took him 2 years to complete and it is beautiful. My eldest was so pleased on his 4th birthday, now at 17 he realises that the rocking horse is mine and that he and his brother can fight for it once I'm dead. I'm 46 and a size 18-20 and don't care what the neighbours think of me rocking back and forth in front of the window, it makes me so happy. I would really like a substantial swing, but my father is ignoring all my hints.
That's brilliant 😂

Yes! Classic children’s Christmas books and DVD’s that DS is too young for yet, but that I’d like him to have and that I get the benefit of reading/watching too Grin

JM10 · 04/12/2020 12:46

Yes. I've got dd1 a steel tongue drum and dd2 a light projected and I've been so tempted to keep both for myself!

SomewhereEast · 04/12/2020 16:26

Anything Lego and / or Star Wars related is kind of also a present for me...luckily they do really like Lego & SW

Xmasbaby11 · 04/12/2020 16:28

Oh yes! Sylanvians, Playmobil and fun stationery. My dds like exactly the same kind of things as I do!

PhantomErik · 04/12/2020 16:32

We've just bought a new Xbox as a joint gift between our 3 DC & DH is very excited! Grin

Judashascomeintosomemoney · 04/12/2020 16:41

@EndoplasmicReticulum

Yes Oodies for the teens. Ordered ages ago, arrived yesterday, they are so floofy and I want one.
I ordered four so we’ve all got one! Not due to arrive til 18th December though....hope it’s worth the wait!
JofraArchersFastestBall · 04/12/2020 16:51

Lots of dinosaur figures. I've rediscovered my love of dinosaurs, and I've got really into researching the most scientifically correct ones and hunting down ebay bargains etc

I've ended up with more than I originally planned... my husband thinks I've gone mad!

spiderlight · 04/12/2020 17:54

A Jellycat sleeping dragon - I picked it up in the shop and it was so soft and floppy and felt like a puppy. DS is 13 and has no need of a cuddly dragon but I don't care.

GarlicSoup · 04/12/2020 18:24

Yes, Lego Harry Potter Knight Bus.

AldiAisleofCrap · 04/12/2020 18:26

@EndoplasmicReticulum Yes Oodies for the teens. Ordered ages ago, arrived yesterday, they are so floofy and I want one. when did you order? I am panicking a bit.

oobedobe · 04/12/2020 22:27

Yes all the time!
This year a Maileg Christmas mouse for DD2 and the brambly hedge books Grin

NeutralJanet · 04/12/2020 22:36

A few months ago when I saw that Netflix was adapting The Babysitters Club for TV, I ordered a box set of the books thinking that DD would love it as much as I did at her age. She wasn't overly impressed by the Netflix show so I'm not sure how well the books will be received but I will enjoy rereading them all again even if she doesn't.

Thewinterofdiscontent · 04/12/2020 22:55

Not now mine is an older teen but...

Father Christmas might have once bought him a Mr Frosty and an Etch a Sketch he never asked for....

bluechameleon · 04/12/2020 23:14

Jumping on the Maileg bandwagon. I've got DS2 the superhero mouse in a tin and I'm really hoping he loves it so I can buy lots more for his birthday in February. I'm also looking forward to reading some of the beautiful picture books - The Big Book of Blooms, Everybody Counts, This Small Blue Dot...

KeeefBurtain · 04/12/2020 23:28

Dd2 (18 months) has a dinkum doll that I will enjoy playing with! It’s beautiful
