Thread 20 - the one with the reminder to put the bargain info *in bold*

Reastie · 15/11/2020 21:49

please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Here’s Barbarara’s instructions from last year on doing clicky links:

Open double square brackets

Paste link
Space
Name of link
No space
Close double square brackets

Like this
[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.
If I do it again without the extra spaces only the word bargain will appear in blue

For more links etc see message 2

If any link doesn’t work or you want to add something please let me know by @ing me Thanks

@Jacopone, I like the Saatchi Store at Saatchi Gallery for their contemporary prints. The prices aren't too offputting either.

Scout2016 · 16/11/2020 16:28

Getting in a cross eyed muddle searching - did a pp mention that Betty's usually do free postage on Black Friday?

Still searching for a decorate your own chocolate something- the Cadbury's one suggested looked both more expensive and more complicated than I had in mind.

Amazonmulu · 16/11/2020 16:29

@yafilthyanimalandahappynewyear

Godiva Chocolates have buy one get one free on their advent calendars.
@yafilthyanimalandahappynewyear oooo! Where are these? I can't find on Amazon or the Godiva site
TheGirlWithGlassFeet · 16/11/2020 16:33

Thank you Slithy I've used your £10 Lakeland voucher.

LiverbirdNo1 · 16/11/2020 16:35

@Scout2016

A local chocolate company does this kit for £7.50

Decorate your own Christmas tree kit

If that’s any good? They posted yesterday on Facebook to say they are temporarily closed to orders whilst they catch up sending them out but then they’ll restock and re-open for final Christmas orders.

yafilthyanimalandahappynewyear · 16/11/2020 16:36

@Amazonmulu, try adding one to your basket then another one should show up but just charge for one.
It was advertised on Facebook and linked to the site. I hope it's legit gulp!

NoWordForFluffy · 16/11/2020 16:38

Who was it who had about £150 in their Matalan basket? Did you get a code?

Scout2016 · 16/11/2020 16:43

Thanks Liverbird. I will add to my watch list. Keeping an eye on Choco Loco who wre closed for restock too.

yafilthyanimalandahappynewyear · 16/11/2020 16:48

Yes I just add one to the basket and another appears!

thaegumathteth · 16/11/2020 17:10

UNO currently £5 on amazon

CoffeeAndEnnui · 16/11/2020 17:10

@ClaraTheImpossibleGirl, my Fiver Friday order from Rocket & Rose finally turned up today, just as I'd given up hope. They look lovely but annoyingly the packaging, although beautiful, has them all bundled up together and they are for recipients from different families.

I haven't pulled it apart yet but it looks as though there's one set of (arguably jolly pretty) tags left loose for the entire order rather than them all having an individual swing tag which makes them look a bit more 'cheap' than I'd hoped. That quibble aside, they're nice.

NaturalBlondeYeahRight · 16/11/2020 17:11

Has anyone used the lovely @Carrie76 Victoria secret codes? I cannot for the life of me figure out where they are meant to go and I don’t want to hit the pay button in case it takes my payment without the discount.
I never usually have a problem with finding the code entry.

Ewock · 16/11/2020 17:14

Hi does anyone know of any H&M codes? My dc do insist on growing and it's costing us a fortune!

EvilHerbivore · 16/11/2020 17:18

@thelegohooverer it was me asking for online Christmas events - thanks so much for posting, these look fab

slithytoveisascientist · 16/11/2020 17:20

@TheGirlWithGlassFeet no problem am always so pleased when they get used!

slithytoveisascientist · 16/11/2020 17:21

I missed out on the typo deal, hope they do it again!

Anydreamwilldo12 · 16/11/2020 17:23

@Haveyoubrushedyourteeth Yoshi.com have some nice leather purses at a great price and also Radley always go down well and last for years.

Rockhopper81 · 16/11/2020 17:23

Thank you for sharing the Lakeland codes, people are so kind on this thread. 😊

I am toying with the idea of waiting until Black Friday to see if it's reduced by a similar margin again...thanks for the info @mogtheexcellent...

Jacopone · 16/11/2020 17:27

@CoffeeAndEnnui, the darkest place under the candlestick comes to mind. Damn corona lockdown; places, faces, usual habits keep slipping out of my mind with lightning speed. Forgot entirely about Saatchi. Thank you so much for reminding me. 🙂

chocolatepudandchocolatesauce · 16/11/2020 17:33

@thaegumathteth I think that set of Aldi carrots is an online exclusive and it sold out quickly :( I think the individual carrots (not the ones in that set though, the ones in jumpers) will be instore

thaegumathteth · 16/11/2020 17:37

They're exclusive in the set but they are going to be sold individually in store j believe

BalaamsAss · 16/11/2020 17:44

@tinyradish I second the slight hesitation on dobble - not because it’s not a good game, but because it’s so popular that the recipient is fairly likely to already have it. It’s the kind of game that could be given from age 7+ I’d say.

My 10 year olds enjoy Dos (follow up to Uno) and it’s a bit less well known. They also enjoy Monopoly Deal and a fair few of the Gamewright games which are definitely not as well known. Go Nuts for Donuts is a bit of a favourite and it has definitely been cheap before. There’s also Dragonwood which they love and occasionally has offers on.

mummymilkfloat · 16/11/2020 17:54

@Scout2016 we’ve had a few chocolate kits from here:
chockleart.co.uk/collections/🎅christmas-collection🎅?page=2
They’ve got a bauble and a melted snowman one in the Christmas section.

Daisy829 · 16/11/2020 17:56

Aldi milk frother is available online for preorder at £20 but delivery is only free on orders over £30. Might need to add some wine to the order

chocolatepudandchocolatesauce · 16/11/2020 17:58

@thaegumathteth thats great news!!! Id like the grandparent ones! We have three Aldi's close together so fingers crossed one has them. If I'm anywhere near you I don't mind picking some up for you too. Pm where you are if want to.
