Thread 20 - the one with the reminder to put the bargain info *in bold*

999 replies

Reastie · 15/11/2020 21:49

please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Here’s Barbarara’s instructions from last year on doing clicky links:

Open double square brackets
No space
Paste link
Space
Name of link
No space
Close double square brackets

Like this
[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.
If I do it again without the extra spaces only the word bargain will appear in blue

For more links etc see message 2

If any link doesn’t work or you want to add something please let me know by @ing me Thanks

@aw93

Sorry have never heard of Lori dolls but an ebay seller has Lottie clothes - none under £5 though.

kuspariko20 clothes

Alternatively loads of patterns on pinterest.

25% student discount at Asos

TidyOmlette · 16/11/2020 14:49

@Haveyoubrushedyourteeth have you checked accessorise within monsoon?

Lovemusic33 · 16/11/2020 14:52

Not sure if it’s been posted already but vodaphone rewards are doing a free bakedin brioche baking kit (just pay £2.99 postage), would make a good stocking filler.
@oatmilkisntsobad - I have a 10 off 50 I could PM you if you're going for the expensive one or are buying other stuff (though can't really see much difference between the £30 and £60 versions! - I have the catalogue sitting next to me Grin). Expires 18th.
Thanks! Yes I was going for the £30 one but have other things in my basket as well. I'm on the app so can't pm. Can you post the code for me on here please? Much appreciated

woodwaj · 16/11/2020 14:54

@Haveyoubrushedyourteeth given her age id prob have a nosey at River Island too

PetuniaPansy · 16/11/2020 14:58

@aw93

Does anyone know where I could get clothes for a Lori doll, preferably around £5 or under. I think they're similar in size to Lottie dolls so clothes for them could work too. Thanks!
You can get Lori dolls in Smyths or at loridolls.co.uk They're usually around £8 but there are some on sale. I'm afraid they can't share clothes with Lottie. Lori is much wider and has differently porportioned limbs.
aw93 · 16/11/2020 15:05

Thanks for the suggestions @mogtheexcellent and @PetuniaPansy, I might have a go at making my own.

foilflower · 16/11/2020 15:10

@ClaraTheImpossibleGirl

L'Occitane have 3 baubles for £30 here - usually £12 each - free delivery over £25 too.

I so wish I lived near a Bettys @JoanneCofton and @AintOverUntilTheCatLadySings, although probably better for my waistline that I don't Grin

Has anyone had their Rocket & Rose Fiver Friday t shirts from October 2nd? Still no sign of mine; they did say it would be a month or so but I emailed them last week for an update with no response Sad I'm glad they are for Christmas presents rather than anything sooner!

My t-shirts came today and I’m very happy with them.
lolarabbit · 16/11/2020 15:10

@oatmilkisntsobad - her's the code: 1277 2327 1234 6788. Hope it works.

FoolShapeHeart · 16/11/2020 15:12

Yankee Bundles have packs of 6 T2 teas for £6 with free postage, the date on the one I looked at was 2022 & there's a handful of different tea flavours to choose from.

EverybodyKeepCool · 16/11/2020 15:21

@Lovemusic33 where did you see 25% off Qwertee?

Haveyoubrushedyourteeth · 16/11/2020 15:23

@tidyomlette @woodwaj I'll have a look at those too thankyou. I think I'll treat myself to a new one too, after all I've saved on fuel and parking etc!

Today I've been feeling really quite flat, but this thread and the lovely people on it have improved my mood no end, so thankyou all.

oatmilkisntsobad · 16/11/2020 15:24

@lolarabbit ** thanks !

Rockhopper81 · 16/11/2020 15:27

I don't suppose there's any way of getting a discount code for Lakeland is there? On the recommendation of a fellow Mumsnetter this morning, I think the Lavazza milk frother might be just what I'm looking for! It's £40 there, but if there's anyway to get it cheaper I wouldn't object...is it the kind of thing to be on offer on Black Friday do you think?

Lovemusic33 · 16/11/2020 15:28
@Lovemusic33 where did you see 25% off Qwertee?
I had it come through on a email this morning and yesterday, maybe it’s finished now? They should do their £5 deal possibly end of the month/Black Friday.

Madonnawiththebigboobies · 16/11/2020 15:32

Lakeland codes

Thread 20 - the one with the reminder to put the bargain info *in bold*
mogtheexcellent · 16/11/2020 15:32

@Rockhopper81

A lot of us got the Lavazza milk frother last black friday for £19. It was that price on Amazon and John Lewis. Might be worth holding on for a couple of weeks.

It is amazing. Although I use it most for Ovaltine Blush

Godiva Chocolates have buy one get one free on their advent calendars.

TheLastStarfighter · 16/11/2020 15:38

Thanks to you lot my postie thinks I am setting up a shop!

My Typo order arrived today. Really good quality! Much better than I expected for the price. I wish I had bought more of the metal bottles, and they are back up in price now, but I'll keep a look out in case they go in another offer.

EverybodyKeepCool · 16/11/2020 15:38

@Lovemusic33 thanks! I have loads of tshirts in my basket so fingers crossed

I bought loads last year, dd1 loves them so I’m hoping they will have the same offer this year.

mummyof2boys30 · 16/11/2020 15:51

@tinyradish

So I've no idea what slightly older kids like as I have toddlers. Would a 10 year old boy enjoy Dobble does anyone know? If not, what other game might be suitable around the same price? (Gone for a game theme for the kids this year.)
Mine like uno and rush hour. Heard lots of people talk about dobble though
Raindropsonrosesand · 16/11/2020 15:59

@tinyradish - best check with a parent, since 10yo is fairly likely to already have dobble.

Alternatively, Monopoly Deal is a great card game, currently only £3.50 on amazon, which is an amazing price (think I paid about £8)
