Thread 20 - the one with the reminder to put the bargain info *in bold*

Reastie · 15/11/2020 21:49

please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Here’s Barbarara’s instructions from last year on doing clicky links:

Open double square brackets
No space
Paste link
Space
Name of link
No space
Close double square brackets

Like this
[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.
If I do it again without the extra spaces only the word bargain will appear in blue

For more links etc see message 2

If any link doesn’t work or you want to add something please let me know by @ing me Thanks

Brand alley has a lot of umbrellas- sales change but unsold stuff can be found through the search engine

www.brandalley.co.uk/catalogsearch/result/?q=umbrella&idx=BrandAlleydefault_products&is_v=1

caffeineanddryshampoo · 16/11/2020 10:16

I know some people have had trouble with IWOOT before but thought I'd tell you all about this anyway.

I ordered the animal crossing cushion 30% off cushions on there atm so instead of £19.99 it was £13.99. There's free delivery on selected card games too atm so I added Oi Frog Top Trumps which gave me free delivery for everything. Delivery threshold is usually £30. So cushion and cards for £18.48 with free del Smile

Haveyoubrushedyourteeth · 16/11/2020 10:20

@thaegumathteth when are the carrots coming in store? We tend to shop on a Thursday night and there's an Aldi over the road from where we normally go, so I'm more than happy to pop in and get some if I can....if you can let me know which one(s)
It's probably our youngest dd's last year of believing too, so I absolutely understand why you're upset.

@whitetilesmurf my Rocket and Rose fiver Friday t-shirts arrived five mins ago

lolarabbit · 16/11/2020 10:23

@AintOverUntilTheCatLadySings we have a DeWalt drill from Screwfix which has lasted well and gets a fair bit of use. It's not a cheap option but Screwfix do seem to have £20 off atm. Otherwise Bosch is a good make I think.

@PinkDaydreams I relation to Trustpilot I always look to see how many reviews the reviewers have posted and only take notice of people who have lots for different products - one time reviewers more likely to be fake. Hope that helps.

Luxplus · 16/11/2020 10:26

@Wiifitmama both dds have umbrellas from djeco. They seem quite good quality and have lasted well

I8toys · 16/11/2020 10:27

Nice offers on Fossil at the moment. I remember a good deal a few years ago on here.

Mumto3thatsme · 16/11/2020 10:32

Just a reminder for Lloyds customers to check their offers at the bottom of the online banking page.
There’s cash back for selfridges, lands end, pasta evangelist and costa coffee amongst others 🙂

uniqlo · 16/11/2020 10:34

Someone mentioned Giesswein slippers on the previous thread. It's come up on my FB feed as an advert with 25% off with code UK25 slippers

handmademitlove · 16/11/2020 10:36

@Wiifitmama My secondary age kids have umbrellas from collar and cuffs london - compact to fit in their rucksacks and windproof. No complaints so far!

Those Top Trumps look fab, thank you! We love the Oi books in this family.

Thank you! Will check it out. We don't need it for anything fancy - just putting up pictures and the like tbh

Wiifitmama · 16/11/2020 10:42

handmademitlove - you are onto a winner! I found one I think he would like from Collar and Cuffs and not pricey and love that it is a brand with a windproof design. Thanks!

ILikeBiscuits · 16/11/2020 10:52

@Freshcoatofpaint, TKMaxx does free delivery if you spend over £75.

You have to pay postage if you return anything. However, a small parcel sent via Royal Mail costs less than the £3.99 you’d have to pay for an order below £75.

mogtheexcellent · 16/11/2020 11:09

Hi all I need some lego help. My DD wants just bricks, are there any sets that dont have all the fiddly bits? I remember the just brick sets from my childhood but that was back in the 70s... Thanks.

Haveyoubrushedyourteeth · 16/11/2020 11:18

@mogtheexcellent try Asda, I'm sure I spotted a big set of just bricks in there recently.

Jacopone · 16/11/2020 11:25

You are amazing. Thank you @CupoTeap, @margaritasbythesea, @Mrsmadevans, @Thehollyandtheirony🙂.
I’ve just had a quick look at all those places - great ideas, will have a proper browse later on when have free time. I already dread I might be tempted to buy more than one. But really spot on ideas, so very grateful to you all. 🙂

thaegumathteth · 16/11/2020 11:26

Thanks @Haveyoubrushedyourteeth that's so kind of you. I'm not entirely sure when they come out because I think some stores are 6th December but other a different dates? I'm not sure tbh! thats a Monday anyways. On the off chance you come across them I'm looking for any or all of the ones in this picture. Thanks so much just for the thought because I know I'm being a bit ridiculous!

handmademitlove · 16/11/2020 11:26

@Wiifitmama Glad I could help! took me ages to find ones for my kids..

deeplybaffled · 16/11/2020 11:28

@ClaraTheImpossibleGirl - mine arrived this morning from Rocket and Rose. Took around 6 weeks.

oatmilkisntsobad · 16/11/2020 11:33

I know I'm late to the Lakeland party but if there are any codes still knocking around I'd be very grateful! My DD has just asked for a pasta machine

CosmicVagina · 16/11/2020 11:35

Tesco had 25% off F&F for clubcard holders

CosmicVagina · 16/11/2020 11:35

Have not had

Fuckingfuckssake · 16/11/2020 11:37

I've got a IWOOT referral link over on the referral thread, gives you 20% off, I take no responsibility if it goes pear shaped though!! 🤣

LiverbirdNo1 · 16/11/2020 11:44

@PinkJam

Have a 15% off code for Fatface (can only be used on full price products)

Let me know if you can use it

@PinkJam I would love this please if you still have it?
