please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Here’s Barbarara’s instructions from last year on doing clicky links:

Open double square brackets
No space
Paste link
Space
Name of link
No space
Close double square brackets

Like this
[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.
If I do it again without the extra spaces only the word bargain will appear in blue

For more links etc see message 2

If any link doesn’t work or you want to add something please let me know by @ing me Thanks

@Penguinbeaver

Can I ask for some inspiration I'd finished my list but then received the name of my secret Santa recipient last night and I'm fresh out of ideas. She's a working mum of two on mat leave with a lockdown baby. Needs to ideally sent straight there by post so gift wrapping/ free postage ideally. Thanks Flowers
What about a good travel cup. She probably doesn’t get a hot cup of tea or coffee very often. Amazon would gift wrap and send.

I've just bought a bloody armchair (for myself!) from Aldi after going on to see what all the fuss was about Hmm

Sneezein3s · 15/11/2020 13:40

@IfyoushouldmeetaCrocodile I feel your pain my DD decided she loves superhero squad so I’ve been scouring eBay for toys! I’ll let you know if the PP doesn’t get back to me and I can post the ambulance if you’re not local x

I almost did - it does look very lovely I have to say but wasn’t the right colour foe me!

I managed to order boots for myself and my daughter so I’m happy

PatchworkElmer · 15/11/2020 13:57

@lifelongfrugaleer thanks for the tip!!

TheLastStarfighter · 15/11/2020 14:06

Ugh - tried to get the Aldi Monopoly and Cluedo crackers, but they are sold out. Have now convinced myself I must get them, but they are at least twice the price elsewhere.

HoHoHolyMackerel · 15/11/2020 14:11

Giant Kevin and Kevin in a kilt are in stock. I can't say I'm tempted!

HoHoHolyMackerel · 15/11/2020 14:12

@TheLastStarfighter still available when I'm looking. Delivery from the 15th?

Hophop26 · 15/11/2020 14:16

@Penguinbeaver depending on age of older child the 5 Minute Mum book may be appreciated (to give her some brief peace to have a cup of tea etc!)

Going back to the HP Sprocket mentioned upthread, I’m after an HP Sprocket Plus for dd but can’t seem to find one. Has anybody seen one? Thanks.

Lockdownlumpy · 15/11/2020 14:23

My DD has declared that she wants a giant plush unicorn. Does anyone know where has them at a reasonable price?
I think asda did a while back but my nearest is a bit far just to check if they still have them, but will go there for my food shop this week if they are still around.

BadgerFace · 15/11/2020 14:32

@Lockdownlumpy You can buy the Asda unicorns online. They are huge...

Ignore me - have found the Sprocket Select which seems basically the same so have plumped for that.
MummaPI · 15/11/2020 14:35

Are they likely to have the carrot family back in stock online? Or is it a case of sold out, no more!

Raindancer411 · 15/11/2020 14:40

@lolarabbit Thanks I shall have a look :)

4Minions2CallMyOwn · 15/11/2020 14:47

@Lockdownlumpy The Asda unicorn is lovely, so soft and really big! Would definitely recommend- I barely managed to stop myself buying it (for meee!!!) Smile

ThePurpleGirl · 15/11/2020 14:47

@HoHoHolyMackerel

Does anyone know of ikea are doing their Christmas trees this year? I assume not as haven't heard. We live close to one and usually drag DS1 to pick one, I have ds2 this year so shame if not anyinentseen any good deals on trees delivered or click and collect?
@HoHoHolyMackerel I had an email from IKEA on the 24th October which was full of Christmas stuff for the home, and right at the end of it was the info about the Christmas trees - £29 and you get a £20 voucher back to spend in the New Year (see pic attached).

I have a Hotel Choc code to use by tonight if anyone would like it.

Helen6606 · 15/11/2020 15:03

Oh the carrots. Nope. I'm not doing my sheep impression with those either grin

luckiestgirl · 15/11/2020 15:05

Re: milk frothers- does anyone use them like a velvetiser and add hot choc into the frother so it all comes out done? Or don’t they work like that? If they don’t, does anyone know of a cheap one that does?

Yes. We do. They are amazing The hot chocolate isn’t hot hot but it’s a good temperature.
Mumto3thatsme · 15/11/2020 15:20

Just spotted on hduk
Hotel chocolate velvetiser £79.95 at hotel chocolate with code vel20nov

Hope this helps someone

TheCrow · 15/11/2020 15:43

@luckiestgirl I googled it as that's what I want to use a milk frother for and lots of places say you can make hot chocolate in it just like a velvetiser 🙂

My Aldi Vs Lidl frother decision was made by the fact that I got a Lidl brochure through the door and it has a £5 off £40 spend voucher in it so I'm going to get the frother with my weekly shop. They had a box of the brochures on the packing shelf in store last week if anyone else wants the voucher.

Lockdownlumpy · 15/11/2020 15:45

Does anyone here have schleich animals and vehicles?
What age do DC play with them up until?
I'm doubting myself...

slithytoveisascientist · 15/11/2020 15:49

Still have a Boden code as well as 2 Lakeland codes - £10 off £60 and £5 off £30
