please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Here’s Barbarara’s instructions from last year on doing clicky links:

Open double square brackets
No space
Paste link
Space
Name of link
No space
Close double square brackets

Like this
[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.
If I do it again without the extra spaces only the word bargain will appear in blue

For more links etc see message 2

If any link doesn’t work or you want to add something please let me know by @ing me Thanks

For anyone looking for a pantomime this year then Nottingham Playhouse are live streaming theirs. Both Nottingham theatres are doing live in-person pantomime too

Can anyone recommend some nice Christmas crockery, and possibly a table cloth? I’d love the Spode Christmas Tree range but there will by 6 of us on Christmas Day and I’m not sure that I can justify the expense!

Amazonmulu · 15/11/2020 12:12

Finally got onto the Aldi site - no carrot family, but I just bought some sheepskin boots that may not fit because I'm a sheep and felt like I needed to buy something as I'd finally managed to get on 🤦🏻‍♀️ Somebody stop me!

smartiecake · 15/11/2020 12:26

Was it the Christmas tree deal people are talking about from IKEA?
I saw online if you spend £29 on a real tree then you geyva £20 voucher back to spend in 2021..
I saw it mentioned on the Playpennies Facebook group.

Penguinbeaver · 15/11/2020 12:47

Can I ask for some inspiration I'd finished my list but then received the name of my secret Santa recipient last night and I'm fresh out of ideas. She's a working mum of two on mat leave with a lockdown baby. Needs to ideally sent straight there by post so gift wrapping/ free postage ideally. Thanks Flowers

lifelongfrugaleer · 15/11/2020 12:52

@PatchworkElmer Christmas crockery from b&m is lovely. Let me see if I can find it

AintOverUntilTheCatLadySings · 15/11/2020 13:11

@cymrumam

Does anyone have any recommendations for fill your own christmas crackers. Even better if a bargain. Thanks
Poundland have some gorgeous paper crackers with paper gifts inside.

I buy these (£1, obvs) and carefully open then restuff

NotEnoughTime · 15/11/2020 13:17

I have cracked and bought a real Oodie for my DS (sounds like a creature from Star Trek/Dr Who).

I got £25 off so that was a blessing. It looks really good quality and has had some excellent reviews so I''m hoping it will last him for at least 50 years.

prominent5 · 15/11/2020 13:24

@sneezein3s oh really ok thanks that's actually really helpful, I might bite the bullet and get her the clinic from Smyths. She gets hyper focused on things which sometimes the toys are just too young iyswim. She has recently had a fixation with Wooly and Tig which was tricky as they are definitely aimed at preschoolers!
