please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Here’s Barbarara’s instructions from last year on doing clicky links:

Open double square brackets
No space
Paste link
Space
Name of link
No space
Close double square brackets

Like this
[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.
If I do it again without the extra spaces only the word bargain will appear in blue

For more links etc see message 2

If any link doesn’t work or you want to add something please let me know by @ing me Thanks

Another random request from me - has anyone seen the Maileg miniature Christmas tree and stocking on their travels? They're dolls house style toys if that helps!

Shitfuckoh · 14/11/2020 21:46

@2Christmassybyhalf

Weird question but do Next childrens's socks come in pairs? I can't work out whether I will get seven odd socks or seven pairs. I assume it will be 7 pairs as there are some eg days of the week when 7 odd socks would be weird, but they don't say and these days so many places seem to sell odd socks that I really can't tell.
I'm sorry, I know this wasn't supposed to be funny Grin Grin

They're pairs, thankfully! Grin

Notlongnow1 I love you. Thank you SO MUCH

Reastie · 14/11/2020 22:01

@Someaddedsugar I find this site great for tricky to get malieg bits. Haven’t had time to check if the bits you want are there though, sorry.

The stocking is on the link that @Reastie just put on. I couldn't find the Miniature Christmas tree in stock on the few sites I checked though I'm afraid @Someaddedsugar

IfyoushouldmeetaCrocodile · 14/11/2020 22:06

Bit of a weird one but.... when we were kids one of the most exciting parts of putting the decs up was taking down the lampshades and putting up like fold out paper stars instead, they had hundreds of little cut out stars so made the patterns all over the room when the light was on. I saw similar again about 20 years ago at a Christmas market but never anywhere else. I'd love to track something similar down for my own DC. Can anyone help?...

Someaddedsugar · 14/11/2020 22:06

Thanks @Reastie and @Shitfuckoh - I'll get the stocking and it may have to be a DIY effort for the tree! I think maybe I've left it too late and DS spotted it when we were looking on Pinterest for Christmas craft things. Thank you both so much - I've never seen that site before.

Shitfuckoh · 14/11/2020 22:09

@Someaddedsugar
Pinterest & youtube have a lot to answer for at this time of year!
Good luck with the DIY effort if you end up needing to do that.

spudsuliked · 14/11/2020 22:11

@IfyoushouldmeetaCrocodile Ikea have these! I bought one on a last minute dash before lockdown in the Christmas section to try and cheer up our stuck in covidland house renovation! Made a mental note to buy more though as they're lovely and nice quality.

ZIGGY911 · 14/11/2020 22:12

my husband decided he wanted an Alexa Show the day after Amazon Prime day ended. Can anyone tell me how much they paid for one then as hoping the prices drop for Black Friday.

Shitfuckoh · 14/11/2020 22:12

@Someaddedsugar

I don't know how much postage is though!

Shitfuckoh · 14/11/2020 22:14

Mini

Oops let's try again

Chocolateteabag · 14/11/2020 22:14

@MsMiaWallace @TheCrow
We have bee using our Aldi Ambiano milk frother at least once if not twice a day since the start of the first lockdown in March
We don't bother with the froth bit, the heat option gives enough foam for our flat whites
It heats to a good hot level and can "reheat" to the same temp. No option on temperature though

I have no clue about the Lidl one but def recommend the Aldi one

@cloudatlaschapter2

Hello everyone - I am after twin babies that have a dummy each. Any suggestion of a good brand? I am out of my depth Andrew usual toy shops don't seem to have such things!
Tiny treasures at Argos?
IfyoushouldmeetaCrocodile · 14/11/2020 22:21

@Spudsuliked What really?? I've been searching for years! Actually the same thing like a fold up paper shade which makes a star shape? My mind will be blown if they have been hanging out in IKEA all this time!

Smileatthesmallthings · 14/11/2020 22:27

@IfyoushouldmeetaCrocodile This IKEA one looks like the kind of thing?

Dolphintrainer · 14/11/2020 22:30

@IfyoushouldmeetaCrocodile yes, they’ve been hanging out in IKEA. Few different sizes and hole punch patterns too.

spudsuliked · 14/11/2020 22:31

@IfyoushouldmeetaCrocodile I think so! Star shaped and folded up sort of like you'd make a paper fan with holes all over that the light shines through. Can't find the exact one that I have but if you google 'Ikea Christmas star shade' similar show up, they had all different ones in store I think. Comes with a metal 'frame' that you can use for a table lamp or just a little ring and hook to put up as a ceiling light (although our stupid fitting didn't go on right!) will try and attach a picture...

www.ikea.com/gb/en/p/strala-lamp-shade-lace-white-10474079/ are the Ikea ones

DinosaurOfFire · 14/11/2020 22:41

My local Sainsburys had the Barbie folding houses and cars from the toy sale reduced further, the houses were £10 and the cars £30. This is the house: www.argos.co.uk/product/2009982 , I couldn't find a Sainsburys link. My store only had one so now I'm on the hunt for a similar size and quality house type thing for my other daughter if anyone's seen another bargain one somewhere?

IfyoushouldmeetaCrocodile · 14/11/2020 23:04

Oh my gosh @spudsuliked you have literally brought a tear to my eye. Thank you so much! And @smileatthesmallthings, @Dolphintrainer and @thegirlwithkaleidoscopeeyes too. Such a beautiful nostalgic feeling.

spudsuliked · 14/11/2020 23:06

Ah lovely. Hope you enjoy a lovely starry house this Christmas!

Chailatte20 · 14/11/2020 23:07

@IfyoushouldmeetaCrocodile I think you can find the star lanterns on eBay in lots of different colours, I got one from a hippy stall in Camden then wished I'd bought loads so found them on there

TheCrow · 14/11/2020 23:38
