please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Here’s Barbarara’s instructions from last year on doing clicky links:

Open double square brackets
No space
Paste link
Space
Name of link
No space
Close double square brackets

Like this
[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.
If I do it again without the extra spaces only the word bargain will appear in blue

For more links etc see message 2

If any link doesn’t work or you want to add something please let me know by @ing me Thanks

Milk fritters - DH bought me one for making latte. I ended up getting rid of it. It turned all the milk into foam, while taking 5 minutes to warm it to lukewarm temp. If the end product had been in Costa I would have sent it back.

TheLastStarfighter · 14/11/2020 19:27

Frothers, not fritters Hmm

foilflower · 14/11/2020 19:30
@foilflower, I've seen that one online but wonder if it looks too young for an 11year old?
Hmm it’s a tough one. It depends on the 11 year old I guess as they can be very different (some will be all about gadgets, others will still be into dolls!). I’m not sure if the light boxes come in different colours etc.

margaritasbythesea · 14/11/2020 19:34

Thelaststarfighter - do you know which one you had? Do has asked for one and I want to avoid yours!

oatmilkisntsobad · 14/11/2020 19:51

I got the lavazza one in Amazon BF deals last year and it's great. Warms and froths if you want froth

princessbear80 · 14/11/2020 19:56

WELCOME10 gives 10% off at Boot Buddy.

I often try this code when shopping online, and this time it came up trumps Smile

I’m considering buying a wake up light for myself.
Thinking of this one www.lumie.com/products/bodyclock-shine-300

Anyone recommend this or any others? Hoping for a Black Friday bargain

oatmilkisntsobad · 14/11/2020 20:18

I buy the actual crackers kit from eBay for £3 for 6 and it includes snaps, hats and jokes

badmarciathemarsha · 14/11/2020 20:22

@runningpink we received the lumie wake up clocks as a gift last year and they are brilliant- we wake up gently just before a toddler dashes into the room, a much more civilised approach to mornings. I cannot recommend them enough. Easy to program too!

Weird question but do Next childrens's socks come in pairs? I can't work out whether I will get seven odd socks or seven pairs. I assume it will be 7 pairs as there are some eg days of the week when 7 odd socks would be weird, but they don't say and these days so many places seem to sell odd socks that I really can't tell.

I really like my Lumie clock. I’m onto the second one (in about 15 years) and wouldn’t be without it.
