please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

The hoodies and shoes were £2 each if anyone else is looking, £3.95 delivery. Few good bargains to be found!

IveBeenGood · 13/11/2020 16:35

Hey, I'm looking for a John Lewis discount code if anyone is able to PM me - spending over £50. I've been emailed a £5 reward and want to see if I can stack it with a code. Thank you!

Riverhouse · 13/11/2020 16:50

@Carrie76 I noticed in Sainsbury's the other day they had slip on slippers that looked like black trainers (a bit like sketchers) or John Lewis, sorry I can't link to them on my phone for some reason but Google 'full felt men's slippers' and they're £25 they don't look old man-y!

@MrsDoctorDear

I've decided to get my dad a pod coffee machine. It needs to be compact, easy to use, and pods easy to buy in Asda or similar.

Any suggestions? I'm thinking up to £50.
Thanks.

Aldi are going to sell a coffee pod machine soon that takes two types of pod and ground coffee. It looks amazing and if I hadn't literally just bought a new coffee machine last week (which I've already used) I would have definitely got it myself. Less than £60 I believe

My nespresso machine was £60 last year from Currys but it came with 100 free pods. May be check and see if that would be an option.

Not sure how bargainous this page is but it's the cheapest place I've found for the Muffin card game and you get free popcorn with every order. Postage was only £1.99 too. They're an independent board game company

Yeknom I don't know about prices but the duplo Thomas fits on the wooden tracks.

MrsDoctorDear · 13/11/2020 17:07

@Elskerdeg that's good to know thanks, I'll keep my eye out.

Thanks @whitetilesmurf is it a particular model?

He's so hard to buy for and I'm assuming it will be a novelty so don't want to get something too complicated.

Yeknom · 13/11/2020 17:10

Thanks @Changingagain we actually already have the duplo ones 🙈 I just thought Brio Thomas ones would be good to not have to go down the track master route/buying a whole new track system

margaritasbythesea · 13/11/2020 17:10

Lavazza have early Black Friday deals on their website. The mini, which we have and love, is £39. There's a larger model for £49 but I haven't personally tried. You can get the pods at Tesco but also cheaply through a company called cafazzini (who also sell through amazon).

margaritasbythesea · 13/11/2020 17:11

Sorry that post was about coffee pod machines for MrsDrDear.

WisestIsShe · 13/11/2020 17:16

Amazon have the Paddington letters book for £6.99 here that's almost it's lowest ever according to camel x3. Sounds like a lovely book, jolly postman format.

22Giraffes · 13/11/2020 17:16

A bit niche but if anyone has fans of Clare Siobhan then Fanjoy has a great sale on merch atm. Just picked up dd a hoodie for £28 down from £40. We have had a t-shirt before and it's great quality.

Does anyone have any experience of PatPat for Christmas pyjamas and can help me with sizing? I’m so confused as kids seems to stop at 8-9. I need age 10 so is that an adult small and if so what are the adult sizes like!!!!

I am desperately trying to get family pyjamas for me, husband, daughter (small adult) and son age 10. All ‘normal’ shops can’t give me 4 pairs in right sizes!

@Yeknom TootallyThomas.co.uk have some of the wooden Thomas trains, or the trackmaster push along trains work well on brio track too. Trackmaster motorised ones fit, but tend not to fit under all the bridges

EightToSixer · 13/11/2020 17:29

I’m looking for a digital photo frame for my elderly mother. I like the ones that allow you to update the images remotely as we won’t see her while she is shielding and she loves new photos of the grandchildren. Can anyone recommend one?

NoWordForFluffy · 13/11/2020 17:34

@ArthurChristmas2, the ones I got were enormous and really horrible material. Very static-creating!

The trackmaster non wood ones are on offer at Argos- but they do warn they might not work on wood.

17caterpillars1mouse · 13/11/2020 17:37

@yeknom I couldn't justify the price of the wooden ones for brio so bought dd a few of the trackmaster push along ones when they were on bogof at the entertainer, tried one on our brio before hiding away for Xmas and they fit perfectly. Only downside is they don't have magnets so can't connect other brio train carriages to them. There seem to be regular offers on the trackmaster ones though, recently argos and sainsbury had a big gift set of them £20 down from £40 maybe somewhere will do this on black Friday

17caterpillars1mouse · 13/11/2020 17:41

@yeknom actually they are still on offer at argos www.argos.co.uk/product/8907514

Thewinterofdiscontent · 13/11/2020 17:43

@Carrie76

DH is looking for slippers/house shoes, now he’s working from home. His requirements are must not be too hot so no fleece of fur and not look like old man shoes Grin
What about mahabis.com/?gclid=Cj0KCQiA-rj9BRCAARIsANB_4AD2Ukdmh26HI8_VN5KH_hAv94CyHVTe5SIrLiRv30oqsSwe14V8YeAaAkZkEALw_wcB

Horribly expensive but some men’s ones turn up in TK Max. There are summery ones if he doesn’t want felt.

Adelais · 13/11/2020 17:51

Just seen that the Entertainer are doing 20% off everything apart from Lego this weekend with code save20

Someaddedsugar · 13/11/2020 17:52

If anyone had a spare Vodafone code it'd be massively appreciated - DS isn't able to have milk and it makes buying Christmas treats very limited!
