I think I'm going to get dd a fitbit as she wants one - need a few other ideas! She's 20. I also have an 18 year old who I'm a bit stumped with..She's just had a birthday and doesn't really need anything!

Dd (18) is v hard as she doesn’t really want or need much. So far I have got her a Lakeland heated throw, Guess handbag and purse, new case for MacBook and a Harry Potter build a bear! Going to get box of chocs from Hotel Chocolat.
It was much much easier when she played with Sylvanians!

MrsMiaWallis · 11/11/2020 14:36

I'd thought about a nice purse but she's a bit of a fashionista and i kniw she'll be fussy about brands (not necessarily expensive ones but whatever is deemed the coolest!)

I didn't stretch to an oodie for my 19yr old but next are doing an oversized hoody thing (their equivalents) for £36 which was a bit more palatable so I've ordered one for her. A loungewear set, a pair of uggs, Jim jams so far too

Lovemusic33 · 11/11/2020 15:16

Ugg slippers?
Pj’s?

I have got my dd a weighted blanket, she’s getting a ipad (needed to do school work) and I need to find a few other bits so I will be following for ideas.

Mrsjayy · 11/11/2020 15:34

I've got a few baby Yoda tatt because clearly she is a child Grin

Mrsjayy · 11/11/2020 15:36

My other DD and her boyfriend have moved in together so I'm stumped for them !

Crocky · 11/11/2020 15:38

I have a 16yo. She lives in hoodies and jeans so no makeup, perfume or handbags. She may want a necklace but I’m not convinced she’d wear it. She has so many pairs of pyjamas. I’m a bit stumped.

Crocky · 11/11/2020 15:39

Oh and my 20 yo son and his girlfriend. Absolutely no idea.

Mrsjayy · 11/11/2020 15:43

I just used to buy dd1 hoodies and jeans and trainers usually Vans she was never into make up or any other "girlie" stuff @Crocky

She sounds like my dd. She has now requested some comfy jeans. She doesn’t really do fashion or make up. Makes it a bit tricky as she doesn’t really want much.

Himalayan salt lamp
Make-up of her choice
Lego Harry Potter Advent Calendar

RoobyMyrtle · 11/11/2020 15:59

I'm getting mine (21) clothes, cook books, kitchen equipment they need eg baking tray, running gear, soap and perfume, stocking fillers (they each have a theme I buy to), chocolate, a board game we loved on holiday (from a charity shop) and Harry Potter Lego 😂 Might get a Switch Game if anything looks good

AdoraBell · 11/11/2020 15:59

I bought silk scarves in the sale in March. Then they went to Uni, needed laptops so that is their main present this year. Not what I would have chosen, or spent that much, but hey boo.

Other than that I’m ordering a Chanel lipstick for one and nail varnish for the other with a few things as stocking fillers. Hand creams and toiletries.

AlwaysaLittleBitTired · 11/11/2020 16:04

New smart tote bag, Nuxe smellies, Oliver Bonas voucher, mini tool kit :)

BoulangerieBabs · 11/11/2020 16:10

Mine wants olaplex, heated rollers and more bloody expensive perfume that she drenches herself in daily when she's home. She also want some fancy fake tan and an Hourglass sculpting palette, oh and some CT foundation.

She never used to be this high maintenance Hmm

silver1977 · 11/11/2020 16:15

For those with a young couple to buy for.... how about the Velvetiser from Hotel Chocolat? A lovely joint gift, I've just got one for my 22 year old neice and her hubby

MrsMiaWallis · 11/11/2020 16:16

Kitchen equipment! Great idea (if boring 😴) might get her a fancy cafetiere

Mrsjayy · 11/11/2020 16:17

My dd got a baby yoda for her 18th. He's remarkably 'lifelike'. John Lewis

I have seen Himalayan Salt Lamps recommended on a few threads. Does anyone have one that they can recommend?
