Have DH's birthday at end of Nov and then Xmas. Have NO ideas. Well one - a nice leather armchair.

No idea - DH has just had his birthday and i feel I did quite well this year....so now run out of inspiration for christmas...

Budababe · 16/10/2007 09:18

What did you get him for his birthday? I need inspiration!

Oh and Ipod - we're a bit behind the times here so you've probably done this yonks ago.

wheelybug · 16/10/2007 09:24

that should say 'oh, an Ipod.'

wheelybug · 16/10/2007 09:24

May well go for an 'experience' or outing for christmas for him but not sure what ?

GooseyLoosey · 16/10/2007 09:27

A token (no more than £15) which is fun and he would not buy himself - eg half a dozen bottles of unusual beer. Nothing else - we both have everything we need.

MissInvisible · 16/10/2007 09:29

psp this year with a few games and some aftershave and bits from dd

MaureenMLove · 16/10/2007 09:36

He's not going to realise how lucky he is this year. I'm getting him 1 ton of builders sand and some scread to do the floor in the new extension! I'm getting blinds and flooring! We know how to live, don't we!

Budababe · 16/10/2007 09:41

MML - and just how are you going to wrap it all?? I'm sure your DH will be thrilled.

DH has an Ipod. Has a Bose docking thingy. Has the thingy for playing it in the car.

We are going to London for the weekend on Sat and he tells me he is buying a sat nav!

He's not into clothes or smellies. Reads but buys himself books.

What does he like doing ?

We're meant to buying the bose docking thing (maybe 2) from DH's birthday money from LAST year as that was supposed to be for some sort of home system.... Could get him the itrip thing although I drive the car more than him so might not be fair .....

wheelybug · 16/10/2007 09:45

ooh i've just had a really boring idea - DH had a bit of money from relatives (sounds like he's about 10 rather than 35) and was going to buy a nice pen but then bought a jacket so I could maybe get him a nice pen... how dull is that !!

MaureenMLove · 16/10/2007 09:45

Well I'm going to put a bow on it, silly! I might buy him a bottle of scotch to numb the disappointment!

dooley1 · 16/10/2007 09:45

probably a dvd boxset of a series he likes like Hereos, Lost etc

dooley1 · 16/10/2007 09:46

also any Docotr Who book that comes out like the Hereos and Villians one that came out a couple of Christmas' ago

Budababe · 16/10/2007 09:47

OK - bottle of scotch good!

I'm getting my DH an outdoor wok ring. How's that for a bizarre idea?

PutThatInYourPipeandSmokeIt · 16/10/2007 20:47

A weber smoker!!!!

The bo@#ocks of the dog

Overtiredmum · 16/10/2007 20:51

We have agreed to save our pennies this year for our holiday next year, so will not get anything for each other. If we need something throughout the year, we generally just buy it so we have nothing we really need. Although we do say that every year and I always get him a little something for under the tree from DS, probably an Xbox game. Anyway, would rather just have a good old snog tbh and that costs nothing!!!

MrsMuddle · 16/10/2007 21:13

A big f**K-off amp for his electric guitar! It's the amp of his dreams, although I'm sure it will just sound the same as the one he has already. Can't get excited about it personally, but if it makes him happy...

flowerybeanbag · 16/10/2007 21:22

Something quite small because I just ordered him an Ipod Touch for his birthday and it's £££ so it's going to have to be joint birthday and Christmas.

NormanBatesFletcher · 16/10/2007 21:23

A 4m power kite

LaDiDaDi · 16/10/2007 21:30

Doodletoo, there is a turntable you can buy that plays LPs but will also convert them into computer files and you plug it straight into your computer and transfer them. You can then burn them onto CDs

Pickie · 16/10/2007 21:35
