What will you wear on Christmas Day 2020

Need some inspiration ladies. Do you go for glam or comfort? I might go for one of the more comfortable dresses so comfortable but still a little bit dressed up. What about you?

Watching with interest. I'm thinking something soft and floaty, chiffon or satin or velvet. Dressy but comfortable, as you say. Margot from The Good Life, that's my 2020 vibe. I will resist the temptation to wear wedges so I can pretend to be 5'10" instead of 5'7", though: combined with champagne that's just a festive domestic accident waiting to happen

Brand new pajamas with a t-shirt bra and a full face of makeup and done hair - the perfect mix of comfort and glam

I'm with @CloudyVanilla, Pjs for me and the kids, but hair and makeup done.

Hazmat gear.

Matching Xmas pyjamas through breakfast and Prosecco and dress up at 11 and then lounge wear for cheeseboard and games in the evening 😍

Christmas jumpers probably. Might even treat myself to a new one!

I’m sure I’ve been on these Christmas days threads for the last four years with the same dress but I have a Ralph Lauren dress that was half price about 5 years ago with a cowl neck and ruching on the stomach and little weights inside to keep the neck in position. Anyway as it’s my first Christmas Day with my newish boyfriend and dc I will be wearing that and looking done up.

Pyjamas (apart from when we go out for a walk and then il put on a jumper and jeans- then back to the Pjs)

Normally very glam for Christmas day and mingling with family but because of the C word it looks like it will be a cosy day at home just the two of us. So this year I will be wearing a cream cable knit cardigan, with a pretty lace trimmed bralette underneath and matching cream cable knit wideleg bottoms and stone mule slippers (next) Pretty makeup and simple jewlery. Plan to eat, drink, lounge and play board games and facetime family.Might have an afternoon walk, if so it will be themal leggings and longsleeve top with an oversized shacket, hat and boots.

I've ordered this from phase8. Hoping it's stretchy and forgiving enough for the amount of cheese I plan on eating.

I usually buy a new dress but im trying to cut back currently, I might still buy something but it has to be reusable.

I think only one xmas dress in the last 10 years has actually gone into my regular wardrobe (normally because they are too dressy for daily wear), most are getting donated in the big occasionwear purge so I want to avoid doing that again and by more practically.

I have never dressed up for Christmas Day. is it a thing? Leggings, trainers and a t-shirt here. I always have a walk in the afternoon so i dress for comfort.

I don't know anyone that dresses up for Xmas day. I'll be wearing pyjamas and a Christmas jumper.

I don't dress up either. I do have a Christmas dress which I got as an alternative to a Christmas jumper. But I'm not going to get dressed up to the nines!

I don't celebrate christmas so I will be wearing my PJ's and slobbing about in front of the tv all day.

I normally start in my posh pyjamas with make up and hair done, but will change after breakfast.

Ideally something velvet or a jumpsuit I got in the Reiss sale. I do tend to keep my slippers on though!

@Mrsfussypants1 where is the cardigan and trousers from please? Sounds gorgeous & im looking for something exactly like that!

My work clothes

I usually wear something sparkly for Christmas day but I think this year I'm going to try and get matching Christmas dresses for me and DD8 and glitz it up with some tacky accessories like a tinsel headband and flashing earrings. The dresses are usually a skater style so comfy but festive at the same time 🙂

I've bought a nice floaty dress from Yours Clothing for the big day. I even put a bra on!

I usually get dressed up and do full makeup just to change into pjs within an hour of getting to my mums house.

We go out for a curry Xmas day. I also go with something a bit sparkly that is loose around my middle!

I’d like to buy an outfit in emerald green velvet. Nicely retro and very Christmassy.

As we will be having dinner (and I hope hosting family, depending on COVID) in a house we will only have moved into, which has beautiful bones but is old and very battered, and absolutely freezing, I will be wearing All the Layers and hiking socks.
