Need some inspiration ladies. Do you go for glam or comfort? I might go for one of the more comfortable dresses so comfortable but still a little bit dressed up. What about you?

Pj’s

Never bought anything special for Christmas Day, who wonts to cook turkey in a fancy frock?

Christmas jumper and leggings would do fine.

Mrsfussypants1 · 21/10/2020 20:39

Sendhelp cardi & trousers from Next online (loungwear section) x

Prettybubblesintheair · 21/10/2020 20:44

On Christmas Day it’s just me and dh so I’ll be in loungewear but nice new ones. Boxing Day we’re (hopefully!) at my mums with lots of family and I think I might get this to wear:

joanieclothing.com/jupiter-long-sleeve-velvet-mini-dress-teal.html

I’m short and fat but good boobs and legs so hoping it’ll be flattering! And I love the colour. I find my mums house very cold too so this should keep me warm! Will wear with a 100 denier black silk touch tights as will probably end up sat on the floor at some point!

Mumtumwobble · 21/10/2020 20:45

I’m in a Tier 3 area so I’m guessing it’ll just be the 4 of us this year so I think we’ll all go for comfy lounge wear.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 21/10/2020 20:47

I've got some navy reindeer patterned fleecy pj bottoms , need a top half for these . That will be nice for breakfast loafing about .

Then a shower , nice leggings and Christmas Jumper Xmas Grin

UndertheCedartree · 21/10/2020 20:56

Most years it is just us on Christmas day so we go for comfort - although we do get dressed when we could just stay in pjs, really!

I'll probably go for my Christmas jumper dress, Christmas jumper or Christmas t-shirt depending on how I feel with leggings or jeggings. My little girl has similar options (including a matching jumper dress!!) and my DS will probably just wear his usual black clothes although when he opens the Pokemon Christmas pjs and Pokemon t-shirts he will probably put one of them on! My DP will just be in his usual smart casual clothes.

The only time we really dress up is when meeting my parents and that seems unlikely as they live in Spain Sad

Henio · 21/10/2020 20:57

I just wear my normal everyday clothes

DramaLlama12 · 21/10/2020 21:09

Probably a clean pair of pjs , hair in a scrunched up bun , effortless and comfy , it’ll only be me DH , DS and DD ... I won’t be getting dressed and I certainly won’t be wearing makeup .. I only have 2 days off work
Looks like I’m in the minority 😂🤷🏼‍♀️

purplecorkheart · 21/10/2020 21:12

Normally wear black trousers and a black top. Tend to wear it with an embellished jacket/cardigan.

Thegirlhasnoname · 21/10/2020 21:16

I’ll be 8 months pregnant so whatever fits still 😂

HotToCold · 21/10/2020 21:17

PJ’s....

But then again, iv only got dressed about 10 times since March Shock

Mum2jenny · 21/10/2020 21:21

Clean jeans and a t shirt probably. I’m not one to be bothered about clothes. Tbf I’d probably wear virtually nothing if it was warm enough. Bikini and sarong in the Bahamas sounds really good 😀😀

deborah1316 · 22/10/2020 10:56

I've always glammed up, dress, hair, the works. I then spend 6 hours trying not to spill anything on myself whilst cooking, then squeezing a ton of food into a dress only meant to fit a lettuce leaf in. This year though I'm going for comfort. Swing pants and a blouse. Victory rolls still done as is the face.

pinkksugarmouse · 22/10/2020 15:32

New pj's until noon and then something comfy. Jeggings and a Christmas jumper probably. No shoes just socks and slipper boots.

FilthyforFirth · 22/10/2020 16:33

I normally get dressed up but should be 4 weeks post partum by then so whatever fits and is comfy to lounge and feed in!

Will still be on mat leave next Christmas so will make up for it then! Hopefully closer to the weight I want to be and no bloody reatrictions..

goose1964 · 22/10/2020 18:16

I bought this last year, it's not as washed out in real life, so I'll change into this just before I do the starters.

Pollypockett23 · 22/10/2020 18:19

A LBD - my staple every year!

I've got a new one from RL. Black, tailored and a great cut! Need a bit of glam in these dark days!

GreyishDays · 24/10/2020 13:01

@goose1964 do you mind me asking what the fit of that dress is like? I’m after something similar and that dress is the right size.

cricketmum84 · 24/10/2020 13:06

Probably a Christmas themed swing dress and tights. We usually go to one of the sets of parents and get fancied up but I imagine it will just be me, DH and DC this year.

goose1964 · 24/10/2020 16:30

Slightly on the large size, but not big enough to go down a size.

TheLastStarfighter · 24/10/2020 17:35

Given it will be a “digital Christmas” I’ll be wearing loungewear (I.e. changing into it as clothing, rather than sleeping in it the night before).

Probably Boden Vanessa Cozy Bottoms and a nice cashmere hoodie. I don’t like the Boden hoodie though, because although it’s tagged as cashmere it’s mostly viscose. I think M&S have some nice ones.

mbosnz · 24/10/2020 18:14

Hmmmm, the idea of splurging on some luxury loungewear is interesting - and very tempting! Could I spoil myself with something from the White Company?

Normally I wear a cream Christmas jumper with little robins on it that I got from M&S and love - its fluffy, comfy, and machine washable, with a sparkly cranberry coloured long pleated skirt, or a copper, long pleated skirt. Looks great with brown boots when I manage to harass anyone to come out for a jolly Winter ramble before Christmas Dinner (yeah right, it's a quick trip to the Bottle Bank to get rid of the evidence. . .)

Parker231 · 24/10/2020 18:19

As Christmas is at home, either just us or extended family, it’s always PJ’s for all three generations. We don’t get dressed up at home.

IceCreamAndCandyfloss · 24/10/2020 19:05

I’ve got Christmas leggings and T-shirt, never bother other than something fun. Would only wear a dress if going out on the actual day.
