Gift ideas for 11 year old girl (who thinks she’s 16)

Hi ladies,
I’m really struggling for ideas for my daughter. I think she would like the new iPhone but I’m not too sure because she’s already got the XR at the moment. I’m not too sure about the difference between the two other than the better camera and the charger? She absolutely loves friends and make up so I’ve bought her the friends monopoly and the friends revolution make up bits. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

And she’s just read the chocolate box girls series which she really enjoyed.

Oh and a mini printer when I find the right one

Six is the first musical back in the West End - they're doing a pre-Christmas run; not sure if it extends to the week between Christmas and NY.

Is she into any specific youtubers? Maybe see if they have any Merch you can get.

LucyCharlotteP · 16/10/2020 20:41

The gimbal sounds like such a good idea. She too is very into TikTo so that is such a good idea, something she will actually use. May I ask where you are planing on getting one from?

What about a makeup mirror with a light, or a nice dressing table, good hair brushes, M&S had nice set of make your own bath bomb.

This is a slightly unusual ideal but one year I bought my eldest DD who loves to write, a beautiful bright yellow vintage typewriter. It's obviously not flashy and wasn't particularly expensive but she still has it now as a young adult.
It went down well and nobody else has one.

My daughters 11 and I’m thinking of getting her a laptop to do her school work on.
Also some Hype clothes and bag etc.
I got her an iPhone 6s in the summer since we didn’t go away so she doesn’t need a new phone.

If your daughter likes crafts then what about a tie dye set? Lots available online. You can water colours down a bit if she doesn’t like bright colours and maybe get her some white tops and canvas shoes to dye to go with it.

She had a Hollywood dressing table for her birthday which is her most loved. I’ve ordered her a gimbal like someone suggested I know she will
Be made up with that and absolutely love using it. Anyone else ordering a Oodie? Or already got one?

When my DD was 12 last year we bought her a digital typewriter. It looks absolutely gorgeous on her desk in her room. A beautiful duck egg blue colour. Looks and sounds like a typewriter but where paper would normally sit there is room for a devise, ipad/chromebook etc, to sit instead. It's connected via WiFi. She loves writing on it, it has the feel of an old fashioned typewriter but none of the hassle (ie. things easily deleted, saved into documents etc).

Oh my daughter wanted a typewriter for her birthday. Totally forgot!

JourneyToThePlacentaOfTheEarth · 17/10/2020 15:02

Great ideas here thank you. My almost ten year old is getting a new ipad, newest model is a decent price. She wants a new iPhone8 and an oodie. I was shocked by the price of oodies tbh

PolkadotsAndMoonbeams · 17/10/2020 16:19

I know some people who are buying together for oodies, because bundle prices are lot cheaper. It ends up at £36.50 each (plus postage?) if you order 6.

@Jenniferturkington

Similar situation here op. I’m going to get her a gimbal and a light ring and a tripod. Basically so she can make TikTok videos. She will also be getting cricket pads but that’s not that exciting, she just needs them.
I’m thinking of a tripod/selfie stick too for my DD13. I don’t want to spend much though, about £20. Does any one have any recommendations?
