Girl aged 6 - LOL toys

Boy aged 11- Lego, laptop, phone 🙈 for what reason I don't know.

No idea on my 8 year olds

10 year old wants a Nintendo Switch. He has wanted one since last Christmas, been incredibly good about not going on about it all the time, is willing to contribute some money of his own and also accept it as a joint present from us and grandparents,so I think he deserves it. (Its much more than we would usually spend)
12 year old doesn't want anything except a guinea pig. We already have two, we don't have room for another one, so he can't have one, unfortunately. He doesn't want anything else at all which is going to be difficult as he also has a birthday before Christmas.

elQuintoConyo · 23/09/2020 17:21

DS age 9 wants a PS4. It'll be a joint December-birthday gift as that's quite a whack for us. Then a stack of Minecraft nonsense for stocking and filler (pyjamas, jokebook, top trumps etc).

ANoTail · 23/09/2020 17:22

DD13- Terry Pratchett books. Lava lamp, headphones.
DD11- Arts and crafts stuff mostly. And a hamster. (Am tempted)
DD8- Rubik's cube and Harry Potter books. Chemistry set.
DD5- Pirate ship, a real one, apparently. Have talked her down to a toy one and a pirate costume. Also Lego.

TheCrow · 23/09/2020 18:56

Haven't asked DD yet (8 but will be 9 at Christmas) as I have a feeling she'll just point at every bit of tat on the adverts and say that's what she wants 🤷

AdventCaroline · 23/09/2020 19:11

Dd (13) has asked for a Nintendo switch - which we can't really afford, so won't be happening.
And (this may out me) costumes, props and script so she can put on a Shakespeare play with her friends. (Very much forward to putting this together for her).

Dd, 9, would like tickets to Harry Potter studios - looking increasingly unlikely given current Covid situation - and a leather jacket.

17caterpillars1mouse · 23/09/2020 19:15

Dd 4 - sylvanian families, beanie babies, barbie Chelsea club dolls and polly pocket

Dd nearly 2 - playmobil 123, anything her sister has, anything waffle the wonder dog related

Xiaoxiong · 23/09/2020 19:33

DS9 - ripstick and Artemis fowl books
DS7 - Harry Potter lego and digital watch

pinkrose78 · 23/09/2020 19:35

Girl age 6 Go Kart
Boy age 10 Play Station 5 🙈 My DH managed to buy one on the day they came out so think he's going to be one happy boy on Christmas morning.

Aroundtheworldin80moves · 23/09/2020 19:35

DD7 new scooter. Doll accessories. More explorer stuff. A real life dinosaur

DD9 has asked for carrot seeds. She needs and wants nothing

Bikingbear · 23/09/2020 19:42

DS10 Wants a stunt scooter
DS4 Wants everything he sees, needs nothing!

covidmonkey · 23/09/2020 19:42

Dd8 wants Lego friends, a pet, enormous squishmallow and hatchimal.

Ds10 wants Star Wars Lego and things he won't get like mobile phone.

ALittlePitchy · 23/09/2020 19:52

DS (4 but 5 in January) will be getting Lego, Hot Wheels cars and more track, football training stuff, and possibly some My First Science related stuff, mini experiments and things.

DD (3 in November) will be getting princess dressing up clothes, Playmobile Vets, toy dinosaurs, and paints, paintbrushes & an easel.

This includes presents from grandparents - we won’t be buying all of that ourselves because of how close their birthdays are to Christmas.
Not very well planned!

EnglishRose1320 · 23/09/2020 19:58

Ds1 is 15 and wants more RAM for his computer, headphones and a new keyboard

Ds2 is 10 and wants
Parts to build a skateboard himself
A custom made scooter
A mountain bike
A bmx bike
Roller blades
Football boots
Skateboard ramp
Switch games
Art supplies
Lego truck
Hot wheels cars

So I just have to try and work out which thing he really wants most because he is certainly not getting all of that!

RedLimoncello · 23/09/2020 19:58

DD1 (6) a hairstyling doll head type thing and surprises- one of which will be a set of kiddy woodwork tools so she and her dad can work together on some little projects.
DD2 (4) a chocolate cake with smarties on it- same as last year🤗 Also now at my suggestion a karaoke microphone so she start her training to be a "singing mummy".

Kittywampus · 23/09/2020 20:04

Following because I have no ideas!

DC will be 8 and 4 by xmas. The 8 year old would definitely like some kind of device to play Minecraft on (has played it with friends and loved it).

4 year old would say that he wants toy cars if asked, but he already has hundreds.

Redcrayons · 23/09/2020 20:05

‘Just’ twins, 16. They’ve just had their birthday so currently nothing.

Teens are so hard to buy for, I long for the days when we could go and drop £200 in ToysRus and have a mountain of stuff.

Someonesayroadtrip · 23/09/2020 21:28

Loving these lists.

OP posts:
Scotlass · 23/09/2020 21:38

DS (11yrs) - Nintendo switch and games. Stocking fillers marvel, Harry Potter, minecraft 'stuff'

DD (21yrs) no idea - maybe clothes / makeup /toiletries

Pepperwand · 23/09/2020 22:16

DC age 3, a toy pangolin of all things and some space stickers for the bedroom wall.

DC age 18 months doesn't care so is getting some clothes and wooden stacking blocks.

Strokethefurrywall · 23/09/2020 22:18

DS1 9 years - Hogwarts clock tower LEGO, professor macgonagall wand, shark teeth, other imaginary things (we don't have regular TV so no adverts for him to get ideas from!)

DS2 6 years - Hogwarts express LEGO, other imaginary things that don't exist (tiny fairies that live in light up jam jars anyone?), time machine.

Both kids are getting LEGO, some other small bits and a new iPad each. Going to quash that imagination out of them with screen time 🤣

Cherryrainbow · 23/09/2020 23:42

7yo boy - anything and everything gaming related, generally sonic, mario, minecraft etc.

OdeToAutumn · 24/09/2020 00:31

4 year old - roller skates and a skateboard !! I’m gonna get him roller skates but not the skateboard
Books

8 year old - hasn’t really asked for anything in particular but he needs a new bike and maybe a new switch game

UsernameNotValid · 24/09/2020 00:39

7yo - "a grown up dolls pram".

14yo - a gaming pc.

Lazysundayafternoons · 24/09/2020 08:52

7yo just change his mind when he saw the kidizoom advance phone. We read that you can take pictures and send texts (to select numbers) from it and he likes this idea as his dad works away Monday to Friday so hell be able to text him.

1stTimeMama · 24/09/2020 09:04

@Pepperwand one of my children asked for a Pangolin last year, so we got him a Schleich one. He was thrilled!
